Potential Free agent/trade/sign tracker

Feel like it would be hilariously absurd to just trade him for Wiseman but who knows it might actually work.

I guess you could say of any player on the Kings that if they trade for a better player I'd be ok with it. Even Sabonis. I'd miss him, but I think I could deal with the Greek Freak.

If Davion is traded then who exactly plays backup point guard? Monk? Not the greatest position for him. Or the player they get in exchange? Who would that be exactly?

Im down on how Davion has been playing but im not down on him as a player overall. I think he has lost a bit of confidence in the offensive part of his game and he needs to work a lot more with Jordi and Doug Christie on his shot. But im only moving him for a significant upgrade at that spot and that would need to be with a person who is solid defensively and stronger offensively... I dont know who that would be.

BTW Thybulle to Blazers...not sure if we are making moves or are frozen because we are afraid to mess with the chemistry, but i find it hard to believe we had only the kessler move to make. Many teams behind us got better.

If Will Barton gets bought out I see no reason why we would not try bring him in, if Barnes/Murray are off/injured he's more than viable at the 3 or even 2. Ross as well would be alright just as another athlete/shooter.

He's been real real bad, but could def see him in the like the Shump/Corey Brewer role for us over the last few years. And who knows, maybe getting him back on a good team will help him regain form.

Barton would be taking TD’s minutes. I’d rather roll with TD. I’m hoping Nerlens gets bought out and wants to play for us.

Nerlens Noel is the one potential buy out candidate I think the Kings would have a good chance of signing.

We have a big Kentucky connection here and we have a glaring need for a back up center with his name written all over it. If Nerlens wants to revitalize his career, he's got to pick the Kings if he's waived!

Lets hope so.

There's some sort of hangup with the Wiseman trade. Warriors have reported the Trailblazers for witholding valuable info about GP III.

Figures Nerlens Noel is stuck waiting for that to conclude, then maybe he'll be bought out.

So the GP II trade will go thru. Bob Meyers (Warriors GM) will address the public tomorrow on it. GP II didn't pass the Warriors physical but they accept the trade anyways..

Hopefully once this domino falls we'll get an update on Nerlens Noel -- Who the Pistons can't have any long term plans for with Duren and Wiseman there now, plus rumors say that when the moon is full the ghost of Marvin Bagley III sometimes appears on the Pistons bench n occupies a roster spot.

“The beam lighters can open up roughly $24 million in space, but that requires saying goodbye to Harrison Barnes. The most likely scenario is retaining Barnes and using the nontaxpayer MLE, especially since doing so also allows them to retain Trey Lyles. One scenario to keep in mind is that Monte McNair could use cap space to renegotiate-and-extend Domantas Sabonis, which would be a fun parallel to his longtime teammate in Indiana, Myles Turner.” Athletic

I wonder how @twslam07 feels about the Cam Johnson to the kings chances now that he is been traded. On one hand the Athletic said it will be tough to retain him and is a full mid level exception. On the other hand I can’t imagine them letting him go considering he was a big piece of the Durant trade

I think it’s less likely that he’s obtainable now but you never know.

I think the Nets could actually be in the market for Lillard if POR finally decides to move him. Lillard with Bridges, O’Neale, Johnson, Finney-Smith at the wings and Claxton at C is a pretty solid team. If POR decides to resign Grant and then blow it up at next years deadline, they could sent out…

Ben Simmons
Joe Harris
Cam Thomas
Day’Ron Sharpe
Picks

For

Damian Lillard
Jerami Grsnt

…which gives them a rotation of…

PG - Lillard / Mills
SG - Bridges / Dinwiddie
SF - Johnson / O’Neale
PF - Grant / Finney-Smith
C - Claxton

…that would be a pretty difficult team to beat with the amount of shooting, defense, length, and scoring.

Still seems to be radio silence on the Nerlens Noel front...

Somethings gotta give though...

Isaiah Stewart, Jalen Duren, James Wiseman, Marvin Bagley and Nerlens Noel all being on the same roster simply doesnt add up.. N Noel is so obviously the odd man out..

C Jalen Duren
PF James Wiseman
SF Isaiah Stewart
SG Marvin Bagley
PG Nerlens Noel

No small ball for the Pistons. They are zigging while the rest of the league zags.

I was kind of surprised that Detroit didn't deal him to Philly at the deadline. Embiid has always been a Noel fan and the Pistons could have at least gotten something for him. Now the Sixers have signed Dedmon so that door seems closed.

I get that Detroit is in talent acquisition mode, but even then I don't quite understand what they are doing. Trading for more bigs when they don't have the minutes for the ones they already have and holding on to Noel despite having no intention of playing him. I don't even think he's with the team at this point.
