I haven't seen him play much, but his shotblocking and rebounding numbers disappoint me. He's got size which Sacramento is lacking big time in the paint. He's young, so he has time to improve. However, considering Adelman isn't a defensive minded coach which gives me the feeling we're not going to see a huge improvement in Nene's defense. Offensively though, he would be great for put-backs. Hopefully Sacramento is able to get the most out of him if he joins the team.

Man. If we can pull this off, along with the Pierce for Peja deal. I think we're set to go as long as Petrie balances the roster a bit with the left-overs. Maybe signing Reggie Evans would help, we could probably afford him if we don't pay M. Evans or Darius. Artest might still be available for Peja, but Pierce is a legit #1 option while Artest is more of same. We've already got 3 guys that are 14-20ppg, but can't carry the complete scoring load.
PG: Bibby, Bobby(may go to boston), House, Garcia
SG: M. Evans, Garcia, K. Martin, V. Leonard(buy him out or trade him)
SF: P. Pierce, Garcia, Barnes
PF: Nene, Skinner

No way does this deal work without including someone like Thomas. With that said, I would not do this deal. Artest for Peja is a different story, but I really don't think that Artest is as touchable as people think he is. Although no King is 100% safe the Kings have stated time and again this offseason that they are going to build around the core of Mike, Peja and Brad. If Petrie can pull off the Nene for Cat thing then I'm sure that 4/5 of the starting lineup next year would look like this:

Good question. However, they NEED a SG that can shoot and it looks as if Cat may be their best option now that Allen is going back to Seattle and Redd, Hughes and Joe Johnson most likely staying put with their same teams. Teams do stupid things when they are in desperate need of something and I don't think that Denver wants to have Lenard as their starting SG nor do they want to throw Julius Hodge in the mix this quick. They are in a word DESPERATE for someone like Cat. If this deal did happen then I would wonder how in the world Cat would do with the likes of Carmelo.

if we were to get nene and lenard there would be no reason to re-sign evans and darius.... unless we trade thomas as well.... what about house? we should trade bobby and kenny for someone useful.....

This would be a good start for us. What more can u ask for in the start of the offseason? But would nene play PF or C? Either way, I don't think it really matters. Like mr. moustache said, getting pierce for peja and someone else would be huge. A starting five of bibby, garcia, pierce, nene, and miller would be outstanding.

Need wise , it seems possible but player wise i dont know, i think Nene is good and he has tons of potential to be better, Mobley on the other hand has his best years behind him... but what do i know, im not the GM, lets see what happens.Diabeticwonder said:

Actually, this deal isn't as bad as it sounds for Denver. In Cuttino, you're getting a known quantity (shooting, scoring, penetrating), in Nene you have question marks about potential in which he can either become or fail to realize.
I think the deal is pretty even. Voshon's carrer is winding down, so I don't think he really counts.

A quick glance at a few Nuggets' sites and it appears that while most Denver fans would like to get Mobley they believe that getting rid of Nene and Lenard is just too much.

However, if they think Mobley is the answer at SG I think they would trade a back-up front court player.
