refs just wanted a reason to eject artest.what a bunch of bull ****
It's a shame, but Yao is not playing like the "dominant" center like many here annointed him to be. Dude would rather shoot jumpers, which I don't understand since when he is in the paint, he was grabbing rebounds and finishing.
The Rockets whole team is chuckers + Yao, who is anything but dominant.
Artest shot em out of it, Yao wussed em out of it (dude seems injured again too, will probably retire at like, 28).
Props to Rick for bringing this team to the second round.
Why must they hold Artest accountable for something he's already PAID FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Put a little scare into the Lakers in Game 1, but they are still suffering, and suffering horribly, with being too small, too unathletic, and with out T-Mac, severely lacking offensive options.
I missed most of tonight's game, why was Ron ejected?
So Derrick Fisher's foul/blow on Scola = Artest's hard foul on Gasol??????????? What a complete joke... Houston doesn't stand a chance if refs are favoring LA again. Will the NBA let LA Lakers lose this series?! No way!
The refs had a chance to review the play and kept it as flagrant 2. Clearly a witchhunt on Ron ROn.
You realize that Ron Ron is a moron with little impulse control (proven). He has no one to blame but himself. Same thing with Rasheed and Ts.
So you are saying someone is guilty for something they didn't do because of mistakes in the past that they already was punished for?

In this era, yes. And he's not going to get much leeway, time served or not, for causing the single worst brawl and crowd disturbance in league history. That would probably even be the case in more violent eras.

Stop. There was a minute to go in the game, and the game was lost. It will be corrected between games. Bad call, but the refs were just playing it safe and there should be no long term effect (unles it be on Ron's psyche).
Ok...I don't think anybody in the game tonight thought Ron should have been ejected, including every Laker that was asked.
And one more thing...Kobe hit Ron in the chest, not the neck or "ABOVE THE HEAD". It's right there on videotape.
That is all.
...and if anybody's getting help, it's the Celtics.
Now...that is all.![]()
i never understood the point of correcting between games, since the outcome of the game "could" have been prevented with the right call. if kobe would have been called for the foul, or given a flagrant, then it would have been the rockets ball which could have lead to points, and ron artest wouldnt have been ejected. but the refs missed the call and you know the rest. this game, ron got unfairly ejected and "fixing" it after the game is pointless. sure there was like a minute left and they were losing by around 10. but teams have come back from that deficit before, i doubt the rockets would have but in the playoffs anything could have happened. but we will never know due to these blown calls that are "fixed" after the game when no one cares
Correcting between games makes a considerable difference -- you accumulate flagrant points in the playoffs, 1 for a F1, 2 for an F2. When you reach 4 points, you are automatically suspended. right now ron has 2 points. By gametime next game he should have 1 or maybe even none. Big difference.
And no, the Rockets weren't coming back in this one.
