Kris Humphries

Looks like he's an unrestricted free agent. His numbers indicate that he might be a good young role playing PF next to Cousins, but I haven't seen him play enough.

Should we be interested?

He'd be an obvious upgrade over JT. No clue if he's a better fit with Cousins than Dalembert is. I'm pretty shocked Sam and Cousins fit as well as they do.

Are you asking if he should replace Dalembert?

Humphries worries me in that he's done NOTHING in the NBA, but suddenly explodes in a contract year. It could be a trend, or fool's gold. I honestly don't know.

We've got a good fit next to Cousins right now. And the big key here is DEFENSE. Cousins defends like a Zach Randolph sort of character. Gotta put a defensive center type next to him.

As for JT, Humphries might be an upgrade over him, or he might not. Before this season Humprises had never done anything in the league. Even this year his numbers really aren't that much better than JT's were as a starter, although his play is notably more solid. But he would cost a lot of money to bring in now, while JT is cheap. And JT seems very much a key part of or lockerroom, which should not be underestimated.

We really don't have huge problems in our frontcourt going forward. Cousins/Daly/JT might be relatively affordable (let's say under today's CBA, one $12mil to max guy in Cousins, one $8mil guy in Daly, one $5mil guy in JT), its one of the biggest groups in the league, one of the best rebounding groups in the league. Don't think we need to throw our money or assets at fixing what isn't really broke.

JT just finished his 3rd year in the league, and toward the end of the year, the last 20 games or so, played extremely well. Humphries just finished his 8th year in the league, and up until this year hadn't done diddley squat. What we need to do address our areas of need, and Center and PF don't appear to be one of those areas. Just my opinion..

I chalk it up to The Kardashian Effect. I would be more worried about when they break up. Now if they get married I would give him a long term deal.:)
