[Game] Kings v. Thunder, 12/3/13 - 7 p.m. PST

I'm not blaming the loss on IT in anyway just to be clear. I place much more blame on Jt's bonehead moves, Salmons ghostliness, and Coach's strange decision to keep Salmons in the game instead of D-Will.

When he missed Malone went up to him and hugged him with a smile... No they are not trying to lose, they are professionals and competitors.. but the onus on them to win is not there like it is with 80% of the other teams in the league

heh

Have you seen the Eastern Conference? There are only 2 teams out of 15 with any onus to win.
I mean sure the media is saying that the New York teams have to win this year but have you seen them...they are horrible.

The Kings have a legitimate chance of having the worst record in the league simply because those horrible Eastern Conference teams have to play each other and so someone has to win.

I'm fine with exciting close losses like this, especially when the guys who might not be a long-term part of the plan step up and make themselves valuable.

The Knicks are well and truly screwed with no Jeremy Lin to miracle them out of the basement. They don't even have a pick to salvage the year.

The Nets, I think, will turn it around much as the middling Lakers superteam did last year, and limp into a first-round exit from the playoffs, and from there into oblivion. No use crying over spilled soda for them.

Of the rest of the teams, I think Philly is going to dump Turner and maybe Thad Young before the all-star break to really start losing with earnestness. Orlando may follow suit and try to find a buyer on Afflalo and maybe one or two more pieces. I think Chicago's front office may just decide to go nuclear on the team this year.

I pick Atlanta and Detroit to survive until the eastern semis this time around. Horford and Milsap are kinda built to destroy Miami. Ditto Detroit's front line. I would love to see the Heat out of the playoffs before the conference finals.

Not if Mr. Diamond in the Rough Greg Oden has anything to say about it!!

Horford and Milsap don't scare Miami. They may actually be a smaller pairing than Bosh and Lebron.

Now Drummond/Monroe/Smith though...despite the rough start to the season that's an interesting matchup problem. That's a team with a "flavor" if you will, and while they should have no chance, they definitely would hit Miami where they are weak.
