[Game] Kings v. Lakers - 12/6/13 - 7 p.m.

Has nothing to do with GV... he is the better point guard he deserves to start. It's that simple.

No, it's not that simple. But it's obvious that you cannot see the forest for the trees, so whatever...

Based on that rather impeccable logic, Taj Gibson should be the starting power forward in Chicago. Do me a favor and explain that to Tom Thibodeau, and let me know how it works out? Steven Adams should probably be starting in Oklahoma City, too. And, you could probably make a strong argument for Manu Ginobili starting in San Antonio. Surely those coaches will see the merits of your reasoning?

its strange lately Malone has been keeping the starters out an extra couple mins in the 2nd and 4th instead of getting them back in between 8-9 mins

There is no error. If you see one, point it out.

If IT plays for Kings 4 years from now, he does it as 6th men. Better start getting used to the role right now.

You do realize you're just about the only one totally fixated about the minutes, right? ;)

Harden is better than Sefolosha.

Manu is better than Green.

Crawford is better than Reddick.

Yet, all three excelled or are excelling in 6th man roles, and doing so for some of the better coaches in the league.

Your issue is your lack of perspective and looking at the big picture. You're too focused on IT vs GV than how the players and roles fit within the team.

Isaiah Thomas ... that guy wouldn't make the starting lineup any better. No chance! :)

It's not about making the starting lineup better. It's about looking at the big picture, and realizing that he's an incredible spark off the bench that we can count on every single night.

That's not entirely fair. Gibson and Boozer are close. Adams and Perkins are close. The Spurs are a contender, and Manu spent a few seasons starting (his only two all-star years).

Those are all playoff teams. The Kings are not good.

Thomas and Vasquez isn't close. Or, it hasn't been. Going into the season it was close. Based on last year it was close. But this year? Thomas has been better than Vasquez at everything. If Vasquez isn't the worst starting point guard in the league, he's bottom 5. Not on reputation or past years, on how he's played this season.
