Kings v. Clipper PBP thread - MONDAY EARLY

Just a reminder, fellow Kings fans. This game starts at 12:30 p.m. I'll be here to do the PBP, with my purple slippers, lucky socks, and new Bibby jersey!!! Whoo!

I'm setting the coffee maker tonight so I'll be well-caffeinated before game time. I'm not used to doing PBP in the daytime. ;)

My boss and her husband were able to attend last night's game (the first ever for them) because I located tickets for them. They knew how hard it was for me to actually hand the tickets over to them so they felt somewhat obligated. Obligated is good...and it got me a Bibby jersey! Besides, the boss was worried I would continue to spend all my time curled up on my couch, hugging my Christie jersey, and sobbing hysterically. I think she figured a new jersey was a cheap price to pay to get me back to work.

Hey, Soninlaw! I Just Read In The "z"ville Paper Where They Are Re-doing The State Street Bridge And Naming It After Mk, Jr. What's Up With That? Kevin Grew Up In That Area And Is From Zanesville. Why Not Kevin Martin, Jr. Bridge? What's Wrong With This Town??

i want a bibby retro jersey.. i couldn't find one, though.. so i got a webber one, instead :)

hmm and i can't believe i have school today! good thing i'm in the east coast (i never thought i'd say that) so i won't miss the game cause of school.
 
Well, that will teach me to look at the schedule. I had no clue this was an early game, made plans to take the kids to the movies. I'll just watch the replay, thank goodness for ComCast channel re-runs!

Kingsgurl, will they have the rerun after 5? I work today so I didn't take the holiday off. Can you find out the re-run schedule? or let me know where to look. Thanks

they have bibby retro ones in the kings store online...and they have youth sizes...for a more fitted look
 
House Party, at least the first part, dedicated to discussion of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy. They've interviewed Webber (on tape) and Marty McNeal, who appears to have lost some weight. ;)

Good comments by both Webber and McNeal.

The House Party set looks as tacky as ever, with the addition of Kings bean bag chairs all over the floor. (I like the chairs, I hate the set...)

I have to start a fire in my woodstove so I'll be back in a few to fill in more details as warranted.

At least they're not the Laker announcers. Those guys are REALLY annoying. ;)

They're is Brand, Kaman, Maggette, Simmons and somebody else. ;)

Ready for the tip. Staples pretty sparsely populated. But LOTS of Kings jerseys evident.

No real problems with the officials. ;)

I love this team but I HATE, ABHOR, DETEST, REVILE, etc. when they are so willing to settle for the quick perimeter shots. If I had to name one thing the Kings do that I would absolutely change if I could, that would be it.

Kaman drives in, meets resistance and misses. Board gone after by Webber and Cat. Cat comes up with it. Kaman called for non-shooting foul.

Mag airball. Miller snags it.

Kings ball.

Bibby out to Webber, who starts to shoot jumper, sees open Cat and passes it out to him for the three!!! Whooooooooooooooooooooo!

Grant and Jerry chuckling about how hard it is for Cat to adjust to the Kings.

Cat looks really comfortable out there and it's a good sign that Webber passed up a good look to get him the ball, which he promptly sank for a three!
