[Game] Kings @ Trailblazers 27 Dec 2200 EST

Lots of overreaction in this thread. The Laker game was great but this is still a young team and half of the roster wasn't here last year. it's going to take awhile to gel. Good first half, bad second half. Hard to win a game when your two leading scorers are no shows.
Thats all well and good when your talking about big picture, but in a game thread like this ... I think it is made for overreaction.

Tonight is a perfect example of why people are concerned about the the selfishness of our guards. Cousin's was in rhythm for a large part of this game and was simply ignored.

One of the worst halves of basketball I've seen us play in years. Too much dribbling, silly decisions, awful coaching etc.. I try to like Westphal, but he makes it very difficult.

This is not an excuse because we have been extremely poor and don't deserve to be in the lead, but the officiating has been shockingly bad. Not letting any contact at all go. Refs have made this game even worse.

no one is saying the players are bad, they're observing that our coach in this one specific game is creating terrible matchups for our players and running terrible rotations. That has nothing to do with a great win last night, nor is it an overreaction. It's an observation about something that is specific and relevant to this game. I don't think it's an overreaction to say Westphall has coached this game terribly ad probably made a win impossible with his lineups.

This loss is completely on our coach and his stupidity in thinking that just any lineup would work. Thomas is a rookie and so is Jimmer and neither of them should be playing more than 15 minutes a game. Outlaw is not a PF. More than half our starting lineup did not even play the half the game. Seriously? Idiot coach. I could do better without any effort whatsoever.

Hall of Famer
I don't get why Cousins is always at the top of the key, he should be in the post and initiating offense from there. It's a head scratcher...0_o

Sounds like 80% of the games over the last three seasons. I don't see how tonight is any worse.

They were sucking in the first half, that's why their minutes are lower.
you mean when we built a 10 point lead and Portland was shooting below 40%? before we put in a lineup that was a massive defensive mismatch and allowed the Blazers to not only get going and retake the lead? The starters played fine, then Westphall mismanaged the game, allowed portland to get going and put the lineup that had built the lead back in far too late.

Such a let down on a back to back. Team is playing tired and dumb right now, including the coach. Chalk it up to a learning experience from one of the assistants or players to teach
