Price has had a very nice 2nd stint. Made a very acrobatic shoot even tho he took a lot of contact (no foul). Then he gets called for fouling House with about 1/10 the contact he took on the other end.

112-102 Suns. at least we're consistent in how much we lose by. =(

where the hell is the defense we've been preaching?!

112-102 Suns. The score was a lot closer at the end than it actually was. I thought, Hey it's New Mexico... All the Maloofs are there... The Kings have something to prove after last game... Adelman said the starters will play big minutes... This will be a fun game to watch, and we will show Phoenix we are the team to fear in the Pacific... didn't happen.

Worry...

This is exactly what happens when you buy into all the hype about how good this team was going to be before they ever stepped on the court together.

Sorry, but it's time for a little dose of reality. Our defense - sucks. Our team isn't a team...yet. The season starts in ONE WEEK and the Kings do not look like a cohesive, balanced unit.

You can't take 4 guys, add 9 new ones - and expect to have instant success. We are going to be very lucky if our Kings are able to have a successful season. If it happens, it will be because of the tremendous will of the players and the coaches.

We're gonna see nights like this...especially against the REAL elite teams in the league.

Sorry, fellow Kings fans, but right now what I'm thinking is we have a long season ahead of it. It could be good, it could be bad, it could be a little of both. I'm not going to bank on anything...except that I love this team, warts and wrinkles and all.

Where were you all night?

I had to work late. I got home with about 4 minutes left in the game...

I'm heartily sorry...

;)

Well, they kept the core so they were just kidding I guess
Didn't you hear? They got rid of Webber that fixed the whole team! All our rebounding and defensive problems are fixed! We are more athletic and flexible!

Well, I never bought into the hype VF1, but I was hoping for a little bit of it to be true. But you're right. At this point it looks to be a long season and we have to hope to see improvement.

lol.

but to this specific situation, how hard is it really to cover up 3 pt shooters? you KNOW phoenix is going to them. screw it, let nash score everything and lose, like dallas did last year. arghhhhhh!

just let nash break down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know everyone missed your play by play greatly. I had to put the score up every 10 minutes or so at the end there, and it was tough. You do a great job VF.

This was a rough one, but maybe we can learn from it.

I agree with VF. It is going to be a long season. It will take us some time to "gel." It could be REALLY good or REALLY bad. It will probably be somwhere in between. All I know is, I'm still in it for the long haul no matter how it all unfolds - just like most of you.

team ???

we stopped being a team when Vlade left.

I am not worried yet because some things can be fixed with 7 man rotation. Other things can not be fixed at all - at least not with what we have.

It will take time to "gel"

If we start 10-10 I will be fine with it.

It is preseason but there are also 9/10 new faces on the team including the 3 in webber trade. It's going to take 10-20 games before then meld better. 'course, shooting shouldn't matter. but D is going to take awhile as is getting a flow together. Personally I think their preseason is another 10-15+ games.

Lose a few pre-season games and the sky is falling in

We only have 3 players from last year's pre-season. We were always going to take time to gel. We will take the bad play into the regular season and get better as players get more time together to gel.

This year was always going to get off to a very slow start. Nothing has changed. If we don't show significant improvement by mid december than its time to start worrying.

The season is 82 games long plus the play offs so remember people its a marathon not a sprint ;)

okay i buy that. but still. phoenix. stop the three point shooters. is that really too much to ask?

if, for instance, you stayed on them and instead just give up a two for every single 3 they had hit, wouldn't the game have been a lot closer? just fight them with attrition!!!!

I didn't see the 1st half, just the last few mins of the 2nd qtr, and that sounded bad. I think because of the reserves not playing well. 2nd half was good, and probably better. I liked what I saw from mostly everyone but Bibby aside from some passes. Hopefully he gets going somehow from tomorrow-tuesday.

Especiallies: Price was once again, impressive, Garcia looked good, Bonzi looked nice (from what I saw, his line obviously much better), Peja was quite good other than a couple bad passes, SAR was solid, Brad, and KT was real good. The technicals were fine with me, I actually kinda liked seeing that. :)

I honestly don't care we didn't win, Phoenix is tough to play anytime. I definitely think we beat the Lakers. If not I'll be a bit surprised.

We'll go 4-4. .500 is alright with me. As far as not beating the Suns or Nuggs or Mavs, who cares. Doing it during the season is the best.

Well we will see. Vlade left because we offered him nothing and the doubled his offer for Oaf-ertag. If they can't get past the 1st round again... I still see a serious lack of leadership on this team. I hope it will come once the reg season starts.
