With the young guns ready to suit up I'm kind of excited about this season, but I was wandering the team store at Arco last week and it seemed kind of dead despite certain awesome deals going on (autographed jerseys - did you miss that?!). So, I was wondering what sort of promos would entice people to buy things from the Kings team store, to help the team's bottom line (what helps them helps us keep them) either online or physical?

I am putting this up as a "fishing for ideas thread." I will contact someone at Arco regarding the suggestions you may have.

I wanted a custom jersey in the second half of the season, but the Tyreke jersey sales were so insane that they literally had no more Large home jerseys left in left stock when I tried to get one. Well that's home jerseys anyway, the road ones did not sell like the home. I know that this probably had more to do with whatever deal the team (or league)'has with addidas then anything else,'but still think of all the people that might be in a similar predicament this coming season.

These are the replica jerseys I am talking about BTW, you know the cheapest ones that most of us still can't afford! On the other hand selling out of jerseys is definitely not a bad way of helping out our bottom line Ryan, I just think it would be cool if there were more available this season for the consummate procrastinators (people like me)

Noted. I too have noticed that jersey supplies dry up at a certain point in the season --- rest assured, the right people concerning these matters will take note of whatever suggestions you place into this thread. But, you know, volume orders, logistics, profit margins, etc... all come into play on that one too.

More jerseys at affordable prices for kids. I'd like to get jerseys for both my granddaughters but, quite frankly, the price is prohibitive. A budget-priced line of smaller size jerseys would certainly be nice for doting grandmas.

EDIT: Remember, get 'em hooked young and you've got them for life! The girls are 4th-generation Kings fans and, as my signature says, it truly is a family tradition.

Whaddaya think? They're about 18% too pricey? I see they're 44 bucks right now, I think 35 would be okay.

Edit: just checked the NOH youth jerseys: $32-39 normally priced.

Every once in a while, on my Philadelphia Eagles forum, the fan store offers a code with a pretty considerable discount on jerseys etc. Just enter the code on the website. Granted the forum has about 100,000 members but people seem to take advantage of it when offered.

Oh no...I think kids jerseys need to be under $20. These are 4 and 6 year olds. They just want a shirt that looks like the jersey their favorite players wear.

I was set to buy another Kings' ballcap, then saw that the shipping was almost as much as the hat! What a ripoff! I cancelled the transaction, figuring it might be cheaper just to drive over to the arena. But I still haven't done that. I hope the Kings read these comments because I'd love to support the gear if only I thought they weren't trying to rip me off bigtime.

They're reading it. Likely to hear something about it today or tomorrow, in fact. So, those of you who have an opinion please vote or write up a suggestion fairly soon.

Darn, I wrote a post then accidently deleted it.

The store is in acres of asphalt. Driving by, its hard to determine the best way to enter Arco to access the store. I would have to think most of their current customers are people specifically going to the store, and even more, people who go to a game or other event.

They could use some really good directional signs out on the major roadways and even in the parking lot, pointing the way to the store. Maybe light up signs that say "store open," as well. It might draw in some people who weren't specifically going to go to the Team Store, but see the signs and decide to stop in. Maybe a billboard visible from I-5 that has store hours and directs people to the exit(s) to take.

Fan packs would be nice if you get an overall discount for purchasing a pack of items.

I always like sales and discounts. This could be a percentage off a single item or a discount for multiple purchases of an item, like two t-shirts. If you were a family of four, and wanted to buy everybody a t-shirt, it would be nice if you could get a multiple item discount, such as one t-shirt for x-dollars, but two or more for x-dollars. It might be nice, too, if you were buying multiples for Christmas presents, too.

Maybe a really good discount coupon once a month. Printable from the internet or in the Bee or???? It could be used for internet purchases, but locals might actually come to the mortar and brick store with a coupon.

If I was out of town, I'd probably like free or cheap shipping.

Good point. I drive past the arena and round abouts prob 2x a week and have no idea where the store is. I know its there somewhere, but have never seen it, and hence never checked it out cause I don't think of it when nearby. This no doubt has saved me some cash, hard to impulse buy. haha.

I would agree on this, as I have been to the store a couple times when no events are going on and I still don't remember which entrance I am supposed to take!

I agree on the discounts as well, especially on shipping or discounts for multiple items.

i just wish thered be less graphic tees and wanna be cool shirts and just have classic shirts with fat king logos on em. thats all im sayin

^This.

Kingsfans are everywhere; Arco isn't that easy to get to if you're not in the area. Reduced shipping charges would definitely get me to buy some more items.

Anyone know if they have DMC jersey up for sale at the team store? I can't find any authentic replicas of the king's jersey online! help please. thank you.

I have not seen any authentics of the DMC jersey in person, only the replica, and that was at the brick and mortar store.

Edit: folks at the store are confirmed to only be in the brainstorming phase, and would like to revisit these suggestions at the start of the season, when supplies are more available. In the meantime, thank you for the poll participation, keep up the suggestions, and watch the Kings team store website to see if this type of info gathering from die hard fans seems to have an effect.

:D
