The Kings should have been pressing once Dame got it. Let them try to make a full court pass and force someone else to take the shot.
I missed the first half, what happened to Keegan?
They've sucked from the F/T line all season. It was bound to bite them in the a$$. Its just a shame they had to lose this one. 8 years!!!!! Maybe NOW they concentrate on their F/T's??????
I honestly just don't know. I saw this a mile away. Let anyone but dame shot was my thinking, then they just let him dribble it up the court and make a 3. Him and steph you just can't allow that. I'd put my house on them making that type of shotwhy let him dribble up the court to get the shot off? Double and let Lopez take it up
Dame left the whole Dame Time gimmick in Portland apparently.
I am so unbelievable sick of the poor free throw shooting.Make your ****ing free throws!!!
Giving up the corners to shrink to the paint is the Kings defensive philosophy. Just need to know when to use it and when not to use it.Eh, Monk is 87% so it is what it is. The Kings aren't good defensively but giving up the corners like that is totally inexcusable. Let alone giving a team a 3 on help defense while up 4 points. Bad habits are hard to break and come up at the worst possible time.
Didn’t realize we didn’t have him. I was watching the boxscore smh when it rains it pours. We have so much working against us every night + playing 5 on 8. Must be nice to get the “star calls” each night. Even Austin Reaves gets more calls than our guys lolHip irritation

Do they not talk about this in practice and shoot around?? How many teams do they need a heartbreak loss to happenGiving up the corners to shrink to the paint is the Kings defensive philosophy. Just need to know when to use it and when not to use it.
It's so predictable and that's what makes it annoying.I honestly just don't know. I saw this a mile away. Let anyone but dame shot was my thinking, then they just let him dribble it up the court and make a 3. Him and steph you just can't allow that. I'd put my house on them making that type of shot
Despite all that, this is a game you can be proud of the effort *free throws aside*. Refs screwed them, but the return of Kvon can potentially be season changing if he builds on this game
Inexcusably poor awareness. This is when I wish we had NY style media instead of of "umm, hey DeAaron, how's your baby? What did it feel like to be on the losing end of this one? Tough loss huh? How bout we get a beer after this, on me?"
NY media: "Rumors continue to swirl about trade rumors for multiple players on this team, especially regarding the lack of 3pt defense. Do you think your place is secure despite being directly responsible for the loss Mr. Fox?"
Naw we get calls too. We just don't make our ftsWhen you are the worst FT percentage team in the whole league, these types of losses will happen. This is a serious problem folks. Wait till the playoffs if make it there and get ready for heart breaking exit if we don’t fix this.
What is strange is that these guys have all been decent FT shooters until this year. What happened?

on one hand these can be galvanizing or they can rip you apart. Hopefully it’s the former for these guys

I'm not even lying... I was a better free throw shooter in seventh grade than more than half the players on this team. It's disgusting to me and I have no patience for it. It put this loss on pure laziness and not even caring.
A layup is far from guaranteed. The ONE thing you don't give up in that situation is a three point shot. Terrible, totally unprofessional basketball. I'd be ripping my HS team a new one if they gave up that shot.Nah, when you are up 2 it's pretty much a stop the other team game. It was a tough, tough shot. The Kings could have doubled and just go back to OT I guess because it likely would have been a layup. The 3 that killed it was the one while up 4. You don't turn a 2 possession game into a 1 possession one. Give the other team the 2 point shot every time.
