I disagree. Every news media outlet is riding Ja like he’s Secretariat. Getting old quick. A guy that completely relies on athleticism. That won’t last forever, ask Dwight Howard.
its hard to envision someone with such a small frame making it long term without some major injury to an acl or mcl while jumping around like a cricket but with sports medicine better than ever, players are returning from serious injuries much faster than a decade ago.

Lyles continues his stellar play off the bench. Monk has been given all the attention this year but Lyles has quietly been better off the bench the last couple weeks. His rebounding, especially offensive rebounding has been huge since Brown had a talk with him about rebounding.
His production on that contract is maybe unmatched in the league as a veteran. Hope we can re-sign him

Dude looks so happy. Hopefully this puts him back on the right track and he can be that missing bench big that we need/we trade him to the perfect situation for him and we get a piece that we need for a run.
yeah was looking at where Fox and Huerter shoot and they take a ton of shots near the free throw line. No room for Richaun’s push shot.

The Game Thread Dude

Huerter having a whole on ball shot creator aspect to his game that we never see because he’s ridiculously good off ball is something else. It was a horrible trade when it happened but now that Huerter’s sorta shown flashes of developing into a bonafide 3rd/4th option guy, it just might be one of the worst trades of the last five years.
Sure Atlanta’s probably going to get our pick next season but they’re probably getting our pick because Red Velvet has turned into one of the best shooters in the league and is still on an extremely affordable contract for the next three years after this.

If we lose our late first because of Huerter, sign me up. Hell, if we end up losing the last pick in the first round, they can take next year's pick as well, rules be damned.

I’m just gonna keep catching strays from you for the rest of time because I didn’t want Keegan once upon a time, aren’t I?
its ok to love Jaden Ivey, I do! We all love ya SLABBERS
If it makes you feel any better, @SLAB , Jaden Ivey was my number 1 for the Kings heading into draft day/night. Keegan, however, was a very close number 2. So close, as a matter of fact, that I went into draft day telling myself that if we end up with either of them in the first round, I shall consider the draft a great success for the Kings.

I am glad we drafted Keegan, and not Jaden...:):):)

Off topic but Kings draught and the real draught possibly breaking the same year is pretty nuts. If good things come in 3s what’s the last piece?
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but one wet year and one good snow pack isn't going to break decades-long drought conditions. My wife works in water and she's made this abundantly clear to me. ;)

We're probably heading out of "extreme drought" territory, which is definitely a good thing. The reservoirs are more full than they've been in years; also a good thing. But we're a long ways away from the drought being a fleeting concern for Californians.

The Kings breaking their playoff drought, however, is looking "extremely likely," and if they keep improving (and manage to plug a couple of roster holes at the trade deadline or in the offseason), they could very well be a perennial playoff team.

I was at the game last night. It was glorious. Kings fans were high-fiving each other like we used to do in the hallways of Arco after a playoff win. It felt like 2003.

That's all. Hope all is well with the Kings fam!
I get your point, and feeling. However, I seem to believe that the post-game celebrations were similar to the one we all had in the hallways of Arco after winning game 5 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals, as opposed to any playoff win in 2003...:p:p:p

I'VE GOT A FEELING. THAT IS ALL I WILL SAY. :) :) :)

By the way, speakng of glorious. I'm in Serbia. Been in the country a few hours by bus from Bulgaria. Had to go into a couple stores, take a taxi. They all know Vlade, Peja, Bogdan of course. The entire country are Kingsfans! Being from Sacramento is almost like being an honorary citizen! I have thanked the people of Serbia for Vlade Divac. :)

Agreed, I didn't like Lyles initially, but his effort is among the most consistent. He's got some great playmaking instincts. He's not a great athlete, but he doesn't give up and is an integral part of the team. He's keyed several wins. Monk brings good energy, but needs to get his shooting back on track.

Only problem I had with Lyles last year was that he didn't shoot enough. He has been a lot more aggressive this year. Definitely good to see.

Vinny, hopefully we’ll soon have Bulgaria as part of the Kings’ Nation once Sasha Vekenkov plays for us next year!
That would be great!

Catch me up... would he be the first NBA player from Bulgaria? If so.... we'd definitey capture the territory of Bulgaria.

I found Bulgaria to be just wonderful. I'm really kind of falling in love with eastern Europe/the Balkan peninsula here in general. I will say there is a marked difference though in the people from Bulgaria to Serbia. You notice it as soon as you cross the border. Serbia, in contrast to Bulguaria, while still nominally "socialist" for most of the 20th century, was never really under the influence of the USSR. They did not sign the Warsaw Pact. This is reflected today in a very cheerful and independent character in the people. You still find that in Bulgaria - but you do sometimes encounter a desk clerk who thinks they're still working for the Soviets. Hard to explain - you'd know if you were here. Still endearing in it's own way though :)

It appears that there has only been one Bulgarian-born person to play in the NBA - Georgi Glouchkov, who played decent minutes over the course of one season for the Suns (1986). Vezenkov would be the second.

From experience I can say Atlanta can't take that pick fast enough vs. the scenario where the pick slowly degrades into a 2nd rounder while the team gets knee capped into making "worst trade in history" that isn't even top 5 Danny Ainge fleecings in reality.

The Lebron/Kobe agenda tricked everyone into thinking Mike Brown was a bad coach for like two decades lol.
hard to believe the kings made such a great hire. Coach brown seems to be the real deal! To look at the standings and seeing the kings in 3rd place, it’s bringing back memories of the early 2000’s. AND the 49ers are punching teams on the way to the Super Bowl? Sports life couldn’t be any better right now.
