Kings - Blazers Game Thread

I have no idea what they called Luke at Tech, but during his few min of play a few nights back Renylods said the other players on the Kings call him Napolin Dynamite. As for the resemblance to each his own. probably not much there beyond being tall skiny red headed and kind of nerdy looking, but that probably is enough.

Really impressed with Price! He was damn good guarding the Portland PGs, and his play-making. I think possibly this game alone will save him from cuts.

Sampson I was very pleased to see come in (shouted "SAMPSON!"), and was productive immediately in his short stint. Dug his post-drive lay-up on Ha-Seung and couple boards. Even had an ast. I still think he makes the team as 12th guy. I believe he'll get the most time of the pre-season vs. the Suns tomorrow.

Bibby looked more to in-season form and I'd assume the best of the pre-season? Skinner was awesome (that dunk from the pass from SAR was sweet, as was the driving dunk on Ha-Seung), SAR was very good, Peja was good, Corliss was great, KT I assume just sat out so Rick could get other guys in. Brad was real solid (didn't realize he got 12 boards), and Bonzi was good. Loved Cisco and Martin, both having fun games tonight! They were quite active again, being all over the place in some stretches. Cisco showing some more of his versatility tonight.

Nice win tonight, really liked what I saw, and only bad part was most of the 3rd quarter. Had to expect Portland to come off sometime. I was never worried that the lead would be relinquished or cut to 4 or 5 points.

51 total rebounds, pre-season or not, that's nice to see.

Flores/Sandrin I think will be cut, or possibly one is kept and sent to the DL. I'd go with the former though.

Coach Adelman said he wanted Corliss to play some good minutes this preseason (tonight) and didn't think it would do Kenny any good to play just 5 minutes. DNPCD

i think we had a good game. we had good D in the first half and the 4th quarter. I got a call form a friend of mine who is a laker fan and he said we played great D and if we played like that in 02 we would have won. My reaction to that,"**** you!"

Just checkin in right now. Did we play as good as the final score shows? Or was portland that bad? And some stats would be good as I have no access to a computer right now. It would be appreciated. Thanks.

Read the PBP, ONEZERO. :D

It was a good game. Corliss was huge, Garcia was good, Kevin kicked in at the end, Bonzi was good, Bibby was much improved, Skinner showed lots of skill, Price can't play offense, Brad was okay. KT didn't play.

Oh, and brace yourself...

Peja got rebounds.

OOps. Sorry. Didn't notice the part about you can't get to a computer. We were that good; Portland is horrible.

We played pretty good. Portland had a bit of a run in the third but Reef came in and we settled down a bit after that. Overall a pretty positive game, the D looked good, we rebounded very well, and the guys are starting to mesh even further.

Just wondering.... If you can't get to a computer, how did you post the question?

he is a pretty good ball-handler, but wheres the logic starting peja. who is 6'10" at SG, and putting 6'5" bonzi wells at SF? makes no sense...maybe matchups
