Why is Adelman playing the starters so many minutes in pre-season? It occurs to me that it is likely to be difficult to assess what the guys on the end of the bench are capable of if they never get off the bench. It's not like they're ever going to play in the regular season; why not play them right now?
Normally I'd say you're right. But this team has so many new pieces, especially in the starting lineup. The starters need to play with each other a lot this preseason so they can learn to play together.
I think the bench played a good bit during the second quarter.
Maybe he is playing the starters more to help them begin "getting into the groove" for the regular season since it kicks off in a little over a week.
There's Martin! Blazers have more assists than the Kings. I've noticed the Kings assist numbers haven't been anything great in some of these games. Hopefully, that just gets better as they learn to play together.
