KG to Pistons?

*JW*

G-League
Toronto Sun columnist Bill Harris: "According to an NBA source, the subject of a blockbuster deal involving Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace has been broached between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons. The T-Wolves supposedly would send Garnett to the Pistons for the two Wallaces and two first-round picks."

I dont know about this one seems like an awful lot to give up for KG.

I guess with Flip as the coach of the Pistons it's not too hard to imagine. But if this is a signal that they're willing to shop KG around, I would hope that Petrie is trying to get in on that.

detroit is giving up too much..... but who knows maybe other players are involved after all it is only a rumor.... ;)

Rasheed Wallace is WAY overrated, I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

So is Kevin Garnett.

R. Wallace always managed to get to the PO with his team. KG on the other hand...

Ok, you take Rasheed, Ill stick with the best player in the world.

for the two Wallaces and two first-round picks."

BOTH Wallaces and TWO 1st round picks......I dont think so.

so.... are they going to start darko or mcdyess with kg? and what the hell was the point of trading webber again? unless minny really wants thomas and corliss..... lol....

And his team was what seed in the POs again?
Im not real sure what your point is.
Is Mobley better then Kobe because he made the PO?
Is Demar Johnson better then Jason Richardson b/c his team managed to get to the PO?
How about Fred Jones better then LBJ?

Wallace has always had better teammates then KG, it is just that simple.
Im done discussing this with you for now, anyone who rather have Sheed then KG must not be thinking clearly at the moment. I will wait for you to sober up.

he is just talking about sheed.
I think it is close if it is the two Wallaces and two first rounders.

Are you kidding me? For them to get KG, that'd be scary. How many of you who'd keep Rasheed watched any of his "I'll bring it every other game" disappearing act in the Conference Finals? You'd keep that guy and an aging Ben Wallace instead of getting KG while he's still in the prime of his career and pairing him with a point guard that you know he'll mesh with perfectly. The Pistons will continue to play hard-nosed defense and make teams work, but with KG they'd finally have a legitimate offensive superstar.

What are the T'Wolves going to do with Rasheed and Ben? I'll tell you what: they'll win about 33 games, unless they find a way to get some serious backcourt help.

Umm BW is 6 months older then KG.

If 30 is aging then issues I have.

Hey didn't billups used to be with minny? How did him and KG get along back then?

They got along great, practically best buddies.

and Yoda:
If you don't think Ben Wallace is showing some signs of wear and tear, starting to play a little old, then what was it that had him looking like a shell of his former self and stringing together single-digit rebounding efforts for a few games in the Finals? He's losing a step and it doesn't matter how long he's been alive, in terms of being an NBA player, he's starting to get old.

Your point was that he is the best player in the world.

Teams that had MJ in his prime, TD, Shaq, Hakeem, even J. Kid etc - always made PO. KG is in his prime and missed play offs.
His teammates - Sam Cassell - 2 times champion, Spreewel - been to the finals, Wally - all star, all the other guys not that bad either. Their roster was better than ours and they did not make it.
He is not the best player in the world by any means. He talks a lot and gets away with a lot but it ends there.

You may be right. But
His rebounding being down could have been due to him playing against the Spurs.

Are the Detroit Pistons our their minds? Why would they want to mess with their starting lineup like that? They have gone to the Championships 2 years in a row with that lineup. Big Ben and Sheed for KG? No way. What could they be thinking? I just don't get it. If this happens, we will not see The Pistons in the PO next season. The cohesiveness of them team would be gone.
