Drummond came up big again catching a Napier airball and dunking it. Napier is killing Uconn. I love Lamb but he needs to take over now and screw his teammates.

I have a question myself. Black and White who fits better with Evans MKG or Barnes and why? IMO MKG fits the bill because of the "Power Ball" style we could play like back in 06 when we came very close to punching the spurs in the mouth.

That would be Artest-Bonzi 2.0 without the character issues. Plus Cuz is already a load down low.
Anyway, IMO, with this draft we can't really go wrong if we pick within top 10.
If it will be drawn from most mock drafts as of this day. 6 of the 10 guys are all mobile big men which could easily play next to DMC and 3 could play SF (our biggest need).

I agree, MKG is more of winner than Barnes. while he is the quick athletic SF we want that can defend, he is not a good shooter right now. If you morph him and Barnes together, you would have the perfect SF for us.

depends on what you value more, defense/tenacity in MKG or outside shooting in Barnes. Kings are lacking in both categories, probably more on the defensive end in my opinion, but with MKG on the floor we become a very bad 3 pt shooting team, and therfore easier to guard. Im leaning towards MKG still but i honestly dont know.

I would like to make another note - as much as A.Davis is impressive he's a product of the system in a degree. Kentucky is probably the most athletically gifted team in college basketball and their guards are very good at tunnelling their driving opponent right into Davis. Anthony would still have 4+ bpg anywhere else but Kentucky's defense looks very much like pro level.

Got to see Baylor/Kansas st. If only you could bottle that Perry Jones, you'd have a top 2 pick. Talent was clear for all to see, but you have to wonder why he doesn't have more games like it. He went 11/13 for 31 points and 11 rebounds. Was much more aggressive and confident, which is what everyone wants to see. His size and athleticism, coupled with his skills, is really intriguing. He'll really help his draft stock if he has another couple games like this.

While it's true our starting lineup would be a poor at shooting the 3 but theoretically the bench would be there to stretch the floor. As of right now Jimmer/MT/Garcia/Outlaw/Salmons/Greene? now thats a fair group of guys who you can plug in. Another reason I would like to bring in Beasley would be to play the backup 3.

For a few weeks college basketball becomes like soccer over your way in over the top popularity. Decades ago they created an aboslutely brilliant "March Madness" theme, giant 64 team one and done tournament (since expanded somewhat dubiously to 66). No rounds like Euro ball. No series like the NBA. One and done. Makes for great fun and drama. But what really kicked it over the top was the focus on the brackets, and the introduction of what basically is a nationawide gambling/competition angle to the whole thing. Every school, office, website, in the country has one. They are easy to print up, fill out, turn in. Then everybody follows all the games rooting for their bracket teams. Money pools, prize pools, bragging rights pools. Outside of the Super Bowl probably the biggest/saaviest sporting event/marketing ploy in American sports. With the one and done and these being college programs from all over the country who haven't played each other at all, with the constant turnover in college personnel meaning power shifts from school to school every year, anythign can happen.

Let me start by saying that I know NBADraft.net has the Kings taking him at number 6. Thats not going to happen unless Petrie has a stroke. When you look at Moultrie size at 6'11" and his wingspan, you automaticly think shotblocker. Problem is, he's not. Matter of fact, in my opinion, one of his weaknesses is his defense. He's fine going up against players that are 6'8" etc. but when he has to matchup with someone his own height and who is stronger than him, he struggles big time. His major plus is that he's a good rebounder. But he needs to get into the weight room and put on some muscle.
Offensively he's not a bad player. He has a developing post game, but is still a little raw. He has a very nice jumpshot though, and is pretty consistent with it. He has long range potential, but I doubt he'll ever be a shotblocker. He's a very good athlete, and runs the floor extremely well. He transfered from UTEP where he spent a lot of time at SF, so he's still learning how to operate as a PF.
I have no idea why NBADraft.net would think we'd take Moultrie ahead of Gilchrist or Robinson. I have him going in the last third of the 1st round.
nbadraft.net also compares moultrie to Jason Thompson which is I guess? why he gives them to the Kings. horrible pick though he's far from an elite talent, he's just a decent bigman late 1st type maybe mid 1st if someone overrates him.
barnes would be perfect in a it/reke trio. he's like Thornton but way taller and a lot more overall talent and potential and we could bring mt off the bench for 30 mins. mkg would also be amazing, id just rather have barnes because he reminds me of Kobe and I think his potential is just through the roof and he has a sweet stroke

Well as I said, I'd be happy with either Barnes or Gilchrist. I think Kobe is a better athlete than Barnes at the same age, but Barnes has great potential. Gilchrist reminds me of Michael Jordan when he came out of college. Jordan wasn't a very good shot from the outside either, but he really didn't have any other holes in his game, and neither does Gilchrist. Other than being inconsistent with his outside shot, I can't think of one other weakness he has. So I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. Both are around the same height, and I'm using their actual measurements from the Jordan brand classic and the adidos nations game. Barnes is 6'8" and Gilchrist is 6'7.5". I think Gilchrist is the better athlete of the two, but both are good athlete's, and both have good wingspans.

I didn't think it was that bad, not that it makes any difference. He was only 17 years old at the time, and I've seen worse performances by 17 year olds. Fortunately, they aren't paying him to talk at the next level, so I think he'll be just fine. But let me say this. There is the tendecy to equate speaking ability with intelligence. Some of the most brilliant people in the world were poor public speakers, and by the same token, we've elected folks for president based on their ability to speak, and some of them have failed miserably.
And these final comments aren't directed at you Sidney, but to whom the shoe might fit.

Yeah, great upset for Lehigh. McCollum has had a great year. I thought DJ Cooper for Ohio, and Doug McDermott for Creighton both had good games.

ND.net have pretty random mock until about week or two before the draft then they correct it according to the rumors they have. Going to them mid-season is useless. Draftexpress or some mocks on RealGM are much more realistic.
Terrence Ross had a couple of nice games in the NIT. He might very well be the better player in the #7-10 range.
Brad Beal (freshman from Florida) also had a decent game. He's 6'3" combo-guard that plays SG/SF, built like Wade, Stuckey. Over the last 10 games he was his team best rebounder 7 times and tied for it one other time. Coming out of high school he had a reputation of a good shooter which he hasn't managed to uphold so far. I think he will be atop-10 pick in the end.
