Big Cuz 15

they're not spending ALL of the capspace like they claimed LOL
they're not spending all of the capspace like they claimed lol
I would rather they not spend it on trash and have it available for future trades and such than not have the space available..
they're not spending ALL of the capspace like they claimed LOL
I dont remember them saying they were going to spend it all.

What the hell are you talking about? Gavin stated they were going to use all the cap space they could, and he said, and I quote "We will start at the top of the list of who is the best free agent and work our way down" when trying to sign them.
Topic creator obviously had an agenda when he made this topic.
Maloof basically stated that the Kings made a great trade today, we're going to have an extremely exciting team next year, he told the season ticket holders that they would improve the team and spend money in free agency, and he plans to do exactly that. He kept re-iterating how they will continue to spend and make the team better. His main focus is to re-sign Thornton, and then 2A) to get Dally or 2B) get another big in free agency to replace Dally if he doesn't re-sign with us.
What I liked is what he stated: "We will start at the best free agents and make our way down through them to try to sign them".
I dont remember them saying they were going to spend it all.
Hmmmm, so neither DemarcusCousins or BigCuz15 seems to listen very well. Find that somewhat ironic.

I remember the Maloofs saying they had cap room and would be willing to spend money. I don't remember them ever saying they would spend 100% of the cap room. That would be a stupid thing to say anyway, if you were going to be trying to negotiate salaries with FAs.They said it. I remember it clear as a bell.

Just listened to the broadcast. I heard nothing that even came close to what was implied by the Big Cuz. I do think that Gavin might be just a wee bit too optimistic about how good the team will be. But I do agree with him that the team is much better. At least on paper. As far as spending money, he basicly said they would spend whatever was needed to be spent. Not in those exact words. No where in the interview did he say, we're not going to spend all the money available under the cap.
As was previously stated. He said we're going to start at the top of the freeagent list and work our way down it, trying to sign the best players on that list.
Spending all your cap space would not be prudent at this time, esp if there's going to be a hard cap and you won't have the Larry Bird exemptions to sign your own best players.
