howard or odom?

Odom because he can play PF or SF easily. He also could excel in Reggie's up-tempo game. Good passer, finisher, rebounder. Howard is just another swingman, but very talented.

with trade offers from other teams sacramento will not do a deal unless it involves unloading kenny thomas' contract. the lakers have offered odom (and there is a spot for thomas since turiaf is gone), and the mavs have offered josh howard. which one would you all take?

Where does it say the Mavs have offered Josh Howard? Kenny thomas makes some sense in Dallas and LAL honestly.

I have no problem with Artest as a Laker. I'm sure he'll only be there for one season and not resigned. That'll be plenty of time for him to burn bridges in LaLa land and hopefully totally wreak them.

you know what, i would take josh howard. he's due to make around 10 million. then i would trade him to detroit (with 2nd round pick) for hamilton and jason maxiell. GENIUS. detroit wanted to dump either rasheed, chauncey or rip. the salaries match. rip is only due for around 10 mill and maxiell is due for about 2. he's going to be a heck of a player.

Exactly.

The link to hoopsworld doesn't mention the Josh Howard offer, but it is on SI.com

The talk here continues to be about the future of Ron Artest. Dallas reportedly has had internal discussions about the Kings' mercurial power forward and may be willing to part with its own enigmatic forward, Josh Howard, to get him. The Lakers -- who have dangled Lamar Odom -- continue to be regarded as the favorites, with their willingness to swallow the remaining two years and $16.5 million of Kenny Thomas' contract considered the only holdup.

We all know what John Salmons can do. His game is very similar Josh Howard's.

Well it depends on the entire package, but probably Odom since he has the shorter contract and I don't care where Artest goes.

Don't know who I would take really, but it seems as though a few teams may be interested in Artest. We may get something in return after all.

What about JR smith or Loul Deng. Aren't they available as well as Josh Howard and Lamar O. 3 teams need to be involved at this point.

I don't know if the Pistons unload both Maxiell and Rip, HOWEVER - thatd be awesome. :D

We already have a Josh Howard. His Name is John Salmons.

Yes. So true.

i really disagree with you there. Howard isn't quite the ball-stopper that Salmons is. Howard would fit better with Kmart because he would defer to the better scorer most of the time. He also has a better ability to create for teammates.

The only problem is would kmart move to 3 or hamilton?

beno, kmart, hamilton, moore, miller would be an extremely weird lineup. A great offensive team but extremely poor defensively.

Odom, for the sake that he's got one less year on his contract and he's unselfish.

Of course, I'd take Marion above all, with the risk he pulls a season-long "I don't want to play here" tantrum similar to his pre-Miami days.

Howard because he is younger and better than Odom at this point, and if we are losing a SF might as well replace him with an all-star caliber SF.
