I commented earlier in thread how Jerry Reynolds was sarcastic in trashing Kings D during the game. Now in recap Grant singing same tune calling Kings out for lack of effort. Seems like they both have FINALLY realized this train wreck has been off the rails for weeks and now willing to point out the obvious. Update: BJax calling Kings out for the "lack of effort."

People may say this team showed flashes of talent but let us remember this is the same group of guys we had in November. The issue isn't the players; it's the coach.

You can't expect to win with them, which is why I keep saying they need to be nailed to the bench. Omri should be the first one off the bench every single night, matchups be damned. DWill needs to be traded away but they'll keep him around because ... pace.
People have been harping on Carl since we signed him... Well, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. When the guy is healthy, he's such a valuable part of a rotation, especially when we have 0 depth atm.

Said this at the beginning of the year, but we had the start of a potentially dominant playoff core with the starters and Omri+Landry off the bench, who remain two of the most productive subs in the entire NBA. Add another defensive big off the bench (ala Miles Plumlee), a 3pt sniper and a bench guard who can create for himself, and this team would have all the checks covered to being able to compete at a high level.

I think that's what's more frustrating than anything with this year. I could live with losing seasons in the past because well, we were a bad team with little talent and mis-matched parts. Some may still see it that way, but I see a playoff core already in place with a need for a few more supplementary pieces.

I disagree a bit. A ton of people were expecting the Kings to fall and collapse because they knew the Kings couldn't keep up the whole 5-1 start.

I have no clue what would happen if we were with Malone in this point of the season. We'll never know.

The funny thing is that we've been competitive vs all of the good teams even under Corbin, but we've been flat out bad vs bad teams.

I think there also were a ton of people looking forward to an easier part of the schedule as opposed to the most difficult November in the NBA.

I am not thrilled with how we have competed under Corbin.

It's time to start playing Nik plenty of mins and give Quincy Miller and other D-Leaguers a shot to see if they can play well for us. These guys clearly have no desire to win they are accepting the reality and playing like who they really are. Just give me guys who actually can compete and not take selfish terrible shots.

There's nothing left to gain this year other than getting some of our younger players better.

Right now we literally could be the worst team in the NBA when you consider none of the lottery horrible teams have a player of Cousins caliber on the squad.

Need to get asses whooped in order to force us to look in the mirror - Doug Christie on post game
Where is Doug Christie doing postgame?
Every post game on CSN, I hope to see Doug in the chair, but instead it's Bobby. :(
Is Doug doing commentary somewhere? I'd love to see him join CSN's coverage, hopefully take Bobby's place asap.

when @ggerould says the boos were deserved, you know its BAD
Actually, Gary has gotten rather impatient and crotchety in his old age. :D
Most of the times I've tuned in to him over the past few years, his disdain for the crap basketball product and effort on the floor has dripped through his play by play quite clearly.

I don;t know where Gary's "classy, distinguished, positive" reputation comes from, because for YEARS he's been pretty vocal in his displeasure and frequently disgust with the product on the floor.
