We literally were close to taking Lonzo or Jackson who was working out in Sacramento.
No they weren't. FOX was the guy all along.

Bagley over JJJ? Interesting
This experience is going to help the young Kings level up. I'd rather have them do this while they are young before they get too many miles on those legs."Almost to a man these players go back to their teams and they’re better players. They competed against the best, they've been selfless in that endeavor and I think it benefits their teams when they get back home."
-Gregg Popovich

They also get to learn new techniques and systems to incorporate into their games. Having a few months coaching from Pop could help their game more than rest.Am I the only one who isn't excited by this? We need these guys to save their legs for the upcoming season. This is a good experience for Fox and all, but he'll make many more later in his career. Plus, he wouldn't have made it if all of the other guys in front of him didn't drop out. I would rather our players put all of their effort and time this summer focusing on the NBA season. Tired legs were a huge problem for this team last year 1/2 way through the year. If they go out and do this, I don't want fatigue to be used as an excuse next season.

Easy to say that now as all teams usually say that.[/Q
Look, you want to be negative have at it, but everyone on the planet knew the Kings had Fox targeted. The Kings biggest fear was that Fox might be taken before their turn came. Other than that, there was no surprise.
can't believe Fox fell to 5th in the draft LOL

No I dont think you are the only one. Kingster liked your post so there are 2 of you who dont like the positive experience for Fox.Am I the only one who isn't excited by this? In this case, one summer of getting coached up by Popovich is a positive. It’s not like they have been playing every summer since 2015 and they likely won’t make the Olympic team next year.
