It's known that GSW has tested the market with David Lee... We could trade a future 2nd pick or shed a smaller contract (nothing that would hurt us) in exchange for David Lee, allowing GSW to sign Dwight outright without having to do a S&T with the Lakers...

I know... defense is a concern, but still...

Or even better, do a 3-way trade with Portland, send a pick & change to GSW, portland gets David Lee / Thorton, we get LA

Nah. He's old, no defense. I know he's a great post player and rebounder, but he's just not what we really need.

so within a week we've had a proposal for Stoudemire, Gay and now Lee? anybody want Bargnani or Joe Johnson, too? anyway, he's a very good offensive player, which is mitigated by the fact that he's the single worst helpside defender in the league and apparently, despite good rebounding numbers, a net minus rebounder, too. thus, he does in no way, shape or form justify his insane contract and should be kept well away from this team.

doesn't need to, though. there's very little hope to find a defensive anchor at the four, so trying to let Cuz play that spot and see if him and Bogues work might have merit. he's expiring, too, so we wouldn't be risking much, seeing as we don't have anything of value to trade for him anymore anyway and it'd have to be a salary dump.

He's not the guy you want next to Cousins and we're setting up a team in our division to have D12 with Curry, Thompson, and Barnes on the perimeter? That's going to be a challenging team to overcome for quite some time.
