Cousins left off All Star Roster

Side note form some research I was doing this morning:

Cousins is averaging 22.6pts 11.6rebs right now. The numbers are actually slightly lower than they should be because he only played 9min in his last game due to injury,a dn that yanked his averages down. And now this:

In the entire history of the NBA every single center who has ever turned in a season of 22.6pts 11.6rebs is in the HOF. Every single one except Shaq and Dwight, who will both be HOFers themselves.

22 and 11 in 32 minutes a game is nothing more than above average.....

.....for a hall of famer as Brick pointed out.

Last night's game by Cousins was impressive, except for two stupid moves. Putting his shoulder into Dunleavy probably could have been a technical. Clapping and smiling when Noah got tossed was low class. Cousins could easily have been tossed out of this game too. That probably has a lot to do with why he is overlooked when it comes to the all-star balloting.

or it could just be the nba's height prejudice showing...

:p

Parker out with a sore back in the Wizards game, Love missing after a massive fall yesterday (could also have concussion hit his head hard).

Home court guy. Not surprised. I figured for Cousins to make it, there would need to be two injury replacements.

Lesson to NBA:
Even if it's a Hall of Fame season, that's not enough to get you in the All-Star game if you have the reputation of Demarcus Cousins.

Complete joke. It was obvious it was going to happen because the NBA gets it wrong so regularly. Davis is great, no doubt, but there's no way in hell he deserves it over Cousins, regardless of hometown or not (that's a BS excuse and should play no part in who gets selected).

How so? Our own bias aside, (obviously towards Cousins) Davis clearly is just as valuable Cuz, if not more so because of his D. Davis and Cuz should have been in originally

It's Dirk that is questionable, not Davis. But even then, there are just some great players in the west.

the real travesty is Joe Johnson over Lowry. And Stevenson. And Derozan isn't even the best player on his team. That would be Lowry.

The coaches don't know what they're doing or really aren't paying attention.

Although I am not as crude as Mr. Dropper, I agree.

It is hard to argue strongly that Cousins deserved it more than Davis since they missed roughly the same amount of games and Davis leads league in blocks by far (the rest of the stats are comparable).
That being said, we know who is better :-)

It's a shame Cousins was left off the roster. The only positive about this is that he is now angry, which bodes well for the Kings and pretty bad for everyone else :). It's Cousin's reputation that kept him off the all-star team, although I can argue that most of those all-stars whine and complain more than Cousins. Joe freaking Johnson.... still can't get over that.

Pellies went 4-4 without Davis. Kings went 0-7. I think that's more a testament to the Pelicans having a lot more overall talent, but that's also a testament to how much the Kings rely on Cousins for about everything.

I don't have a problem with Davis making it. I feel he is deserving. I question Dirk and Dwight moreso.

0-8 if you count the Houston game

I don't question Dirk either actually. It's Dwight who I question more.

Not surprised! This was always going to be the outcome when both Cousins and Davis did not make it originally.

Watch DMC use this as a motivation to kick some asses for the rest of the season. By the end of the season, he would have made these decision makers look extremely silly!
