Just imagine if the trade does go through. Hey, maybe we are incorrect about the situation. Guess we will see by tomorrow.
 
I'm just absolutely disgusted that Petrie and the maloofs rejected the deal after Artest expressed through his agent that he wasn't happy about coming here. Neither was Chris Webber.
 
Man, people are really excitable. We're all on the roller coaster, but this is what happens when media outlets rely on unreliable sources. Just like the Shareef situation you just have to be patient and wait for the official word. Maybe I'll learn the hundredth time.

And for the record, I think this trade will still happen. But who knows.

It wasn't an unreliable source. It was submitted to the league office. After conversation with Artests agent and him expressing Ron's dicontent the KINGS decided to decline the trade.

I don't know what is worse, Artest's No to Kings or you comparing Artest and CWebb.
 
The Kings played with some spark and enthusiasm tonite. Peja would not have added anything. Probably just take away from the cohesiveness and hustle we did exhibit.

If Artest is out there, we don't give up 109 points.

Anyways, I am thinking cooler heads prevail tomorrow, and this deal gets done.
 
I predict Ron Artest will never be a King, Kings will do nothing rest of the year,Peja will walk as a free agent,and we will see about the same team next year minus Peja and plus a mid lottery pick. I see dark years ahead.

Are you sure RA will not be here I think there is a good chance he will be we will just have to wait and see. Also Peja Is hurt by us wanting to trade him. So if this does not work I think we will still see a trade involving Peja
 
For what it's worth, Mark Monteith from Indy just said(on KHTK) he just got off the phone with the Maloofs, and they said they are meeting with RA tommorow. They will be reporting there is still a chance and it is up in the air in the Star.

I've got a feeling that there's still a chance it will go through then. The Maloofs are giving Ron the star treatment here -- its beyond Petrie (and may even have been pushed by the Maloofs). Looks like the Maloofs are looking to strike up a personal understanding with Ron rather than an organizational one. There will or should be no misunderstanding coming out of that kind of meeting.

Interesting view. Of course, as the team owners they can just go into the room with RFA and "make the deal". It's not a bad idea on their part if for no other reason then to rebuild some of our reputation as the "destination team" that has been really tarnished last year.
 
I just got home from school...

Got told it was dead.

Then found out it isn't yet.

And I am hoping beyond hope Peja is 100% gone from this team...To start, he's playing with absolutly no passion at all...Then he gets traded...But it falls through...What will that do for his fire? Set to even lower levels...What's he going to do now? Will he just mope in the corner? I mean, this isn't good for the guys phyche.

I really want Artest in a Kings uni at the end of all this...That would make me an above happy Kings fan.
