2019 NBA Draft thread

I'm actually starting to enjoy this. Vlade has a plan and he's not too interested in project players. i respect that. I know some of you don't. To me, it's just funny to see all the angst about a couple of draft picks that won't mean a thing in the big picture. ;)

I mean, I am enjoying seeing people flip out about the Kings drafting a dude in the 2nd round like we just picked Jimmer again.

Well, all this shows to me that we aren’t interested in kids anymore. We are going hunting June 30th for someone that can help right now.

There are some legitimate players in that range who would've contributed immediately. I would bet my car keys on it..

It's tough because there was and is some serious talent in the 2nd round this year. Every year players go in the 2nd round that make a squad and this year it could really be that way. There was a lot of bumbling and fumbling in the 1st round this year and the Kings unfortunately didn't capitalize. Justin James wasn't getting drafted.

This is the weakest draft in recent memory.

Yes at the top end. But it was deep with role players. For a team with literally no SF’s on the current roster......

Vlade better perform in free agency or we will struggle to finish even 10th in the west.

What you got? Cadi's, monte carlo's, impalas?
here's the catch, you'll have to find the car!

but serious note, if we were going to draft a player who's most likely not playing nor contributing this year, why not go with a Bol Bol then? If we were looking for contributors, why not draft Admiral Schofield, or Eric Paschall who have NBA bodies and can contribute day 1?

You gotta be kidding me. That has nothing to do with a plan and you just made that up. Vlade has no interest in project players?

Then what was Papagiannis and Skal and Giles?

I think Schofield could have been a fine contributor. At least someone who could grab some quality minutes. If we had just gone safe with someone like him I would have been good.

You're deluding yourself if you think Barnes isn't coming back. I realize as Kings fans, our default setting is to panic like hell but we're talking about second round picks. Even in "deep" role player drafts, you wind up missing on 90% of them. If you're gonna shoot your shot, may as well shoot your shot.

Old news. He has a plan today that doesn't hinge on players he might get in the second round at this point.
