John Wall in 2010? (split from Beno thread)

And that's Gerald Wallace-level athleticism. Wow.

Do you think Ricky hurt himself with his workout?

What NBrans said - the team was already lukewarm on Rubio, combined with a 1 on 0 drill, which is useless for a guy like Rubio. The Kings front office is a little jump shot obsessed, and they track made jump shots in workouts and compare them to previous players. We know Rubio isn't a good...

    Beno on the move?

The only way to trade Beno is to take back and equally bad contract in return. Don't hold your breath.

    J-Will eyeing comeback?

No. And he was a total fool to begin with.

Help For LeBron, Cap Room For Us

I'd do it in a minute, but I don't think Cleveland does. It doesn't give them what they really need - a real #2 guy. If they get that guy, everything else they do is (mostly) unimportant. Why go for the scraps when you might get the whole turkey?

    Palmer NOT leaving NBA

Well, there aren't many competent male refs either, so what's the difference?

Gavin Maloof Interview (Regarding Personnel) -----

So you're saying that slapping your wife is "overplayed?" Please feel free to defend this position.

    Hedo Turkoglu

I like Hedo, but he's too old, too expensive and too redundant for this team. At this point absolutely no free agents should be signed that are older than Kevin Martin.

    Marcus Williams? (merged)

Maybe if McCants is gone. Don't put two players with poor reputations on the same team. Williams can't be worse than Beno.

Trade some assets to get 2 picks inside the top 10 of 2009 drafts

There's no sense trading a pick in what could be a good draft (2010) for a pick in a draft (this year) that we know isn't good. Beno is the new Kenny Thomas. We'd have to package him with someone good (like Salmons & Miller) to get anyone to take him at all. And Donte has a long way to go on...

    Quincy Douby another Gerald Wallace?

I was all ready to write a post saying that wasn't true, because I certainly don't remember it that way. I did some research and found that it is true. Man, that move was idiotic.

    Grades v. Bobcats 02/25

Let's hope those "people" include MLE addict Geoff Petrie. Because if Jerry has anything to say about it, Gooden is getting signed to a five year deal tonight. It's been said that Jerry is just a silly commentator with no influence, but color me unconvinced. You can't win with a team full of...

Done Deal - Bulls and Kings - Salmons and Miller Traded

Just wait until Petrie offers Gooden the MLE next year after being SO PRODUCTIVE in all those minutes he'll play in the next two months.

    Monday morning 2-16-09 trade talks

So...we're not a contender because we don't have any talent and you don't want talent because we're not a contender. Just want to make sure I have that straight.

    NBA All-Star Weekend Thread

I thought the dunk contest was very good. Nate's final dunk was really impressive and whole phone booth and Lex Luthor thing was really well done. I don't particularly like that the first round was obviously fixed to get them both into the second round. But overall, nicely done. Kenny Smith...

    Defensive Coach Doug Christie?

If my calculations are correct, the Kings are 4-25 in their last 29 games. Playing at that pace all season would result in 13 wins. It can't get any worse.

    Defensive Coach Doug Christie?

I think Doug is great, but you can't teach heart. Our guys just aren't good defenders and will never be good defenders. That doesn't mean they can't improve, but they're not going to go from the worst in the league to anything more than average. The problem is not the coaching.
