Just me or anyone else misses Bibby?

    No, I don't miss him.

    more on beno

Chris Duhon is averaging 12 points and 8 assists and signed a significantly less expensive contract. The system they run in New York is conducive to piling up assists, so there's no guarantee he'd be close to those numbers here, but the Kings clearly overpaid for Beno.

    Draft position thread

No real need. The Clippers are playing way, way below their talent level. They'll win games as the season progresses. Same thing with the Wiz. If Arenas makes it back this year, they'll win at a greater than 30% clip the rest of the season. Sorry to say, but I don't see the Kings getting...

Chad Ford rumor: Miller/Salmons for Curry/Jeffries/Lee

I've watched the Kings for a long, long time, held season tickets for eight years and even watched all 48 minutes of the Boston Massacre a few weeks ago, but if this trade goes down, I'm done. Call me a fairweather fan. I don't care. That's the dumbest trade I've ever heard.

ESPN: OMG, They Played Kenny -- Is Cap-Related Deal Next?

Problem: Marbury in bad shape is still better than Beno. There's a real danger that Marbury would turn into a 35 minute per game player on this team, win an extra game or two, costing us draft position. So yeah, I'm for dumping Miller and Kenny, but I don't trust the team to leave Marbury on...

ESPN: OMG, They Played Kenny -- Is Cap-Related Deal Next?

Agreed. A guy who is supposed to be able to shoot but can't and could never do anything else. Perfect Petrie player. Salmons has his problems, but I'm sure the Kings could do better than getting absolutely nothing for him.

and with the #1 pick in the 2009 NBA draft the Kings select...

Ix-nay on the efense-day... You know Geoff Petrie will NEVER draft a player without a 20 foot jump shot. Try talking up Thabeet's ability to hit the 20 foot jumper, based on that one he hit that one time. If Petrie thinks Thabeet can shoot, he might draft the guy by accident.

    Kenny Natt:

Clarifying - that would be Bobby "I played with a broken face" Jackson.

    j rich to the suns

This is a mind-boggingly bad trade for Charlotte. Do they even lose any salary? Diaw is really a pretty terrible rebounder. What were they thinking? They should have at least gotten a first rounder out of Phoenix.

Anyone else think Coachie was secretly coaching the team from the stands? :p

    Douby is RIGHT!

Quincy just isn't getting it done. It became clear that he wasn't a point guard, so his future in the NBA is to be an Eddie House or Brent Barry. A guy who comes in and knocks down shots. If he can't do that - and the results this season say he can't - he's going to have a tough time playing...

    Kings last in attendance!

Totally agree with this. After the first four games, the Kings have been a scrappy young team with a bunch of young guys playing very good basketball. That's fun to watch, and the people will come if it keeps up.

Chris Webber got close once or twice - within a few blocks.

    Grades v. Pistons 11/11

Thompson goes for 15 and 9 playing out of position in his eighth NBA game, and that merits a "B?" Yeah, he got burned by Prince, but you have to expect that to some degree. The expectations have to be pretty high for the kid to need 20 AND 10 to get an "A." Remind me to never take any classes...

    Grades v. Grizzlies 11/05

Yep. Hawes can be Raef LaFrentz or he can be Vlade Divac. Raef Lafrentz is useless.

Over and Under on Jason Thompson Starting

Thompson has actually played more minutes than Mikki in all three games this season.

Over and Under on Jason Thompson Starting

Agreed. I think we're looking at midseason if keeps up this level of production. Everyone should keep in mind that Thompson is already playing more minutes than Mikki Moore.

ODEN-Over/Under on games played in the NBA

I know this is crazy, but sometimes I wonder if there's something to that. Does the fact that Oden looks (a lot) older than he is mean that he's actually aging at an odd rate? Maybe he has some sort of pituitary problem? Nah, that's crazy talk.

    Around the NBA (10/30)

Admittedly, I didn't watch the game, and winning is all that matters on the floor, but Artest took almost as many shots as Yao and McGrady combined. Just saying...
