Your Starting 5's

Bricklayer

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
We enter this season with a fairly unique predicament -- we have 1 starting position locked down (Reke) and then 4 others which all have serious battles brewing which reasonable minds can differ on the likely outcome. Beno v. Cisco at SG (and possibly v. Wright as well); Omri v. Donte at SF; JT v. Landry at PF; Dalembert v. Cousins at C...and maybe Jt can play some C, or Cousins some PF, or Donte some SG, or Cisco some SF...

So once and for all, comprehensively, list the Starting 5 that you think we see most often this season. Let's say prior to anybody being traded to take away that cheat. There are too many possible variables to fit in a poll, so here is your format:

C-?
PF-?
SF-?
SG-?
PG-Reke

Winners will receive a pet rock which they may select from any roadside gravel bed, and a year's subscription to Burka Babes Magazine.

C Dalembert
PF Landry
SF Greene
SG Garcia
PG Reke

with the disclaimer, that Cousins might replace Dalembert when he is ready.

For Game 1: (EDIT: Well, maybe not game 1, but for the majority of games until the first trade)

C Dalembert
PF Thompson
SF Cassipi (coinflip decision)
G Beno
G Reke

G Evans
G Udrih
SF Garcia, although I expect to see plenty of Greene and Casspi
PF Landry, but probably not for long
C Dalembert, for now

I'll buy a subscription to Playgirl(lol) for whoever predicts when AriesMar27 is going to return.

PG - Tyreke
SG - Garcia
SF - Greene
PF - Thompson
C - Cousins

This will be the starting lineup:
PG - Evans
SG - Garcia
SF - Casspi
PF - Landry
C - Dalembert
Mark it ...

PG-Evans
SG-Garcia
SF-Greene
PF-Landry
C-Dalembert

But for this team starting lineup doesn't really matter because if one of them sucks then other easily replace him. like Beno can replace Garcia, Casspi can replace Greene, Thompson for Landry, and Cousins for Dalembert....

I think this lineup will start the season, but I also think it will change as the season goes on.

Evans
Beno
Casspi
Landry
Dalembert

First game of the year:

Beno
Cisco
Casspi
Landry
Dalembert

Dalambert
Landry
Greene
Beno
Evans

to start...

Cousins
JT
Greene
Udrih
Evans

by the end I hope. The JT part is solely up to him however, I would love for him to wake up and improve his bad decision making which is probably the biggest thing holding him back. Only time will tell though!

The question asked about the most common starting lineup, not the early-season starters or my preference. What I think we'll see most often:
C - Cousins
PF - Landry
SF - Casspi
SG - Udrih
PG - Evans

Hrmm... somewhat surpising that, sixteen replies in, nobody but me seems to like the trio of Dalembert, Thompson and Garcia...

Evans
Garcia
Greene
Thompson
Dalembert

If I see Udrih starting after Game 1, I'm going to throw something at my television. And I want my Pet Rock in a carton, just like the pilgrims had...

I think there's too man unknowns when it comes to the developments of Cousins and Thompson and I'm not too sure how quickly or how reluctant Westphal would be to putting the younger players over the vets(Dally and Landry) in the starting lineup so I can't answer right now.

I just hope that by mid season(and hopefully this also means playoffs are still within our grasp) that the starting lineup is:

Cousins
Thompson
Casspi or Greene(I really feel we can be in a good spot with either starting)
Cisco
Evans

I think the Kings will start the season with:
C - Dalembert
PF - Landry
SF - Greene
SG - Cisco
PG - Tyeke

However, I think the lineup we will see the most is the following:
C - Cousins
PF - JT
SF - Casspi
SG - Cisco
PG - Tyeke

The line-up I'd personally like to see
C- Dalembert
PF- Thompson
SF- Casspi
SG-Greene
PG- Evans

I just love creating mismatches and exploiting size. Similar to the Duke approach of last years NCAA Tournament.

Greene can't start in the backcourt with Evans: he doesn't handle the ball well enough. Opposing teams would double Evans before he brought it across halfcourt. It has to be either Garcia or Udrih.

Please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih, please don't be Udrih...

For Game 1: (EDIT: Well, maybe not game 1, but for the majority of games until the first trade)

C Dalembert
PF Thompson
SF Cassipi (coinflip decision)
G Beno
G Reke

Yep! With Jeter, Cisco, Greene, DMC, Landry and Whiteside plus couple 2-3's who can make 3's from anywhere

Long term?

Tyreke
Garcia
Omri (though I think he'll split time pretty much evenly with Donte - but I have a feeling Donte will be brought off the bench cos he can create for himself more and make up for the lack of height of Jeter, Beno,Landry)
JT
Cousins
