Willie Cauley-Stein is your newest Sacramento King

uhhhh.... one of the first and only things Vivek said about WCS is that he is loyal.

"He is the 21st century player.... he can defend every position, he is insanely athletic....uh, he's loyal, he's a great teammate - he's a winner. And now, Willie, you're a Sacramento King."

Don't tell me that Vlade isn't pounding the concept of loyalty into this dunderheaded FO.
If it was any word in the English language other than loyal, I wouldn't think it was important.

But loyal and loyalty are two basic buzzwords for Demarcus.

The FO and Vivek may just finally be backing Demarcus. May be too little, too late, but there's a sign they may be getting it.

And it is ALL due to Vlade.

Vivek looked a little pale and strained but he too came up with a couple of smiles.
The best thing I can say about Vivek is that he was restrained, if not constrained into the minimum of flowery voluptuous sunshine and rainbows too schticky for works fake ass ticket selling management-speak tagline pomposity of language, of which he must have learned we are sick of.

Vivek has probably been more effected by the lack of loyalty than anyone in the last year or so. Every one of his buds turned out to be weasels. Lets not forget Vivek is still trying to wade through the murky waters of NBA life himself. I just wish there were a team in place PR wise to guide him on the perception issues that the NBA brings. I think he's been oblivious to those, but if he's as smart as he seems he's certainly learning. There shouldn't have to be this many bumps in the road though. Get a team in place and there will be less bruising involved.

LONG time reader and occasional poster. I have had 3 different profiles all hardly used. I decided to chime in because at this moment I felt the need. This has been a low time for us all. No better time to make my voice heard. This was not the Sexy Fantasy pick but it was the WINNING pick. I am TIRED of losing so I am very happy.

He will make our DEFENSE better from day one! Our largest weakness as a team by far! Guy's like this might be as tall as trees but they certainly don't grow on them. As far as offense Kentucky has a set play that would put Towns in the high post which would force the defense to collapse to cover him. Towns would throw a lob for WCS. Towns is no Cousins. Cousins at points attracted the ENTIRE defense last year at that same position on the floor. I see great possibilities on that side of the court with a guy like WCS next to a PLAY MAKER like Cousins. If he can convert 45-50% of his wide open 10-15 foot looks at some point we will be better then expected and people doubting this pick will end up looking like fools.

It's awesome what this guy brings to the the locker room. We have needed this BAD for years! We all saw what PRO'S could do when they played for the team instead of themselves in November. I LOVED coach Malone. I miss him dearly. But let's see what a coach like Karl can do with a team who is playing to WIN instead of just coming in expecting to lose and feeling sorry for themselves. That is of course if the entire TEAM buy's in I sure hope they do November was AWESOME give us more PLEASE!

PS...
I have worked with people I did not like personally. But we made a good team. I hope these guys can give each other a chance to succeed. They both are talented and like it or not need each other. Grow the F up and get to work damn it I want to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the fact that every one of his buds (except Malone) turned out to be weasels. On the other hand, he also seems to go out of his way to make other people take the blame for his actions. Never an attractive trait in a leader. Hopefully Vlade can show him that it's actually better to be wrong and admit it.

Jordan was a frosh when he came out. Big big difference. He's still of course massively unskilled, but he was at an early stage of development. WCS on the other hand stayed 3 years, and never upped that level of production (of course if you look at Jordan, he never really improved either until Doc arrived adn convinced him to become a rebounding fool).

Not to mention he wasn't used correctly at all in TX...

Considering how there was the chatter of him dropping suddenly for whatever reasons, I have a feeling us sticking with him, will end up being the best pick in this draft. I've got a hunch he'll pan out as more valuable NBA piece than both Towns and Okafor
