whats the hump? playoffs? right now there is a lot of pressure for Artest to perform well not just individually either, interesting to see how things will workout.

Lets bring in a savvy veteran who can make others better and isn't worried about ego. If we S&T Bonzi, I would love to see a player who has that veteran leadership come back in return. We have enough youth. Who is out there? Great question................
yeah, our hump just isn't what it used to be.
Woohoo! We made it back to #6 in the West!![]()
So THAT'S why they put the obscene numeral in front of Arco. Another mystery solved...
This year the top of the hump is 7th seed, so getting over it would be 6th! I think we can do it, but K-Mart has to perform well.
Lets compare us to the Pistons of last year... We are a couple pieces away from a good team. Basically the 1999 kings to the 2000 kings.
Our backcourt and SF pos reminds me of the Pistons. Artest/Bibby/Martin (2 years from now Martin) - Rip/Prince/Billups
I don't know what it takes. I mean, we got Artest what more do you want, or need?

Why is everyone so high on Jumaine Jones? I mean the guy is not that good.
I don't get it either. The way people have been talking on here this summer is bugged out. Apparently all we need is Jumaine Jones and Lorenzen Wright and the title is ours.
Don't get the logic behind this at all.
If Ron Artest was all we needed, then surely we would have won the whole thing last season, no? Despite his pre-game boasts, it does actually take more than Ron Artest and four 10-year-olds to win anything of significance.
Ultimately, the Kings finished last season with a first round playoff exit. As of right now, the team is not as strong as the one that left the court after the game 6 loss. That does not equal success, nor does it bode particularly well for the future.
This really REALLY gets taken too far on here sometimes. Ron is a great player. But he's not all THAT. A one time All-Star. One time DPOY. When your competitors for the title are all being led by greater players, true hall of famers, having Ron simply isn't enough by itself. Not even really close actually.
Now if Ron was your second best player you'd have a helluva team. But if he's the best that you have then you have to have a VERY strong and complete set of teammates for him, and seamless chemistry as well. We're just not there, and realistically will be very hardpressed to ever be.
argh...the #6...the mark o' the beast. but will we ever be...the beasts we need to be...to get rings??So THAT'S why they put the obscene numeral in front of Arco. Another mystery solved...
Dude! That New Edition avatar makes me feel old!I don't get it either. The way people have been talking on here this summer is bugged out. Apparently all we need is Jumaine Jones and Lorenzen Wright and the title is ours.
