^^Totally agree. I love Nick Cage but that movie just made me want to perform home root canal surgery... Instead, I ended up turning it off and watching "Ghost Rider."

:)

Bricklayer

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Hmmm...not a movie, but just saw the final episode of Babylon 5 again (Sleeping in Light) for the first time in years and my lord was that still as amazing as the first time through. Still hits like a ton of bricks and remains the best series ender I have ever seen by a lot.

I have changeling and Body of lies, decided to watch body of lies first..

I started Body of lies last night, then finished it off this morning. Overall, it was a pretty cool movie, but maybe im just a sucker for middle east movies .. got a little confusing at times ( probly because I didnt sit down and watch the movie all the way through ) but I recommend it for sure. The ending was a little annoying though.

New in Town

A chick flick, but one I didn't mind seeing, unlike "Confessions of a shopaholic", which my wife will see by herself. ;)

It was OK, but the first half of the film was a bit off. Hard to explain, but almost like they were trying a bit too hard or something. Like someone telling a joke and even though it is funny, you can see the puch line coming ahead of time and their delivery isn't timed well to boot. Got some cute scenes in it, more tolerable than many chick flicks I have seen.

Hall of Famer
Wedding Singer and Big Daddy.

Two of my all-time favorite movies of all time!

Adam Sandler can be so awesome when he's not over the top or in full-fledged obnoxious mode.

well the last movie i saw would be Coraline 3D it had awesome effects,
to me 3D glasses didnt prove much; it isnt a movie for kids under 13!!!
I saw so many kids leave because they were scared, hey what can you expect? Plus there was one unappropiate part were one of the ladies were almost topless

Appaloosa - I liked it a lot. One of the better western movies I have seen since Tombstone.

Sex Drive - some funny moment at times but really just an average comedy flick, wouldn't have finished it if it weren't for Amanda Crew.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - I love this series, especially the first 2. This trilogy will be in my collection.

Solaris (2004 remake) -- decent, but frankly not mind blowing enough to justify the pace.

Death Race -- little to do with the social comentary of the first one, but it was pretty good dumb fun. Basically the old Car Wars game from the 80s come to life. Was just one big long chase scene though, and I watched the unrated version so it was even longer. Was ready for it to be over.

"Are You Scared 2"

Rented it from Blockbuster - they had 3 copies, 2 of which were already rented out. It's notable because a good friend of mine (who I've known over 10 years) is the Producer/Director of this movie. Parts of the movie are pretty good, and other parts are Hooooooorible. but still, its a finished movie in Blockbuster, and that rocks.

So does he know you think "other parts are Hooooooorible"? :D Or is it time for a little white lie? "Movie was great - little uneven in a couple parts, but I really liked it!" :p

Ready for it to be over?

Jason Statham + Natalie Martinez + cars + guns... I was ready for it to be twice as long. :D

Went to see Slumdog Millionaire today, was really looking forward to it...

And was not disappointed at all. Great film, and it got better the more I thought about it afterwards.

And BTW, the woman who plays Litika (Freida Pinto),

I love her

The Pursuit of Happyness -- thumbs up. Spent most of the movie dragging you through a long tough slog of desperation -- but kind of realistic desperatrion if you will. A lot of it felt familiar and true. And it made the close surprisingly powerful.

Watched Death Race again for the first time since it was in theaters. Did I still like it? And how!

Also checked out The Happening purely out of curiosity. It was exactly what I feared -- too bad to be a good film, but not quite bad enough to be enjoyable. I will say, though, that the opening ten or so minutes had tremendous potential. In fact, the whole premise could have worked if Shyamalan had followed his initial urge to go for camp (decided to go serious during the writing process, per the bonus features).

Finally got a chance to watch Tropic Thunder... Absolutely no redeeming value, every insulting fart joke known to man, and more cliches than Scary Movie...

and I loved it! I'm actually watching it for the second time before returning it to the video store. I missed the opening "trailers" the first time around and almost missed them again. This movie is pure FUN!

Tom Cruise steals the show. Talk about over-the-top.

:)

About Chronicles of Narnia? Apparently the powers that be were so disappointed in the second film, they've pulled the funding for the third...
