Webber vs. Barnes in the Finals?

So with Webber and Matt both in the PO (playing major roles) and the guys we got in return here......

OK, I know, I know, they will never meet in the Finals (GS won't make it that far), but if they did, who do we cheer for? Local guy made good on a NorCal team or Webber's new team, who I like if for no other reason than they beat the Lakers in the Finals?

Personally, I want Webber to get a ring. I think Matt has a lot of years left. Maybe he can come back to Sacramento and try to get one here before too long?

I've thought the same thing. After watching the playoffs so far (and enjoying them, despite the Kings not being in them) I just shake my head when I watch Webber, then watch Barnes, and then think of the relative talent we got in exchange. ...sigh... just last night when Barnes hit another three I looked at my husband and said, "thank goodness we got rid of him!"

That said, if it's a match up between the Warriors & Detroit I will be cheering loudly for Detroit. I love Matt Barnes, but my loyalty is with Webber, and I would love to see him get a ring.

Golden State isn't making it to the Finals. No way, no how. The only thing that a Warriors victory over Dallas will do is clinch another Spurs trip to the Finals.

And I'm pro-Pistons anyway; that's why I want Dallas to win this series in the first place...

People are still underestimating Chicago, I think the series with Pistons will go 7 games.

Well, in my case at least, I'm speaking hypothetically. Thinking of who I'd root for in a Detroit/Golden State finals in no way means I think those two teams are a sure bet to make it that far.

In Detroit's case, I think Detroit is the better team, but Chicago will be a tough match up. Should be a fun series to watch.

I think I should have said this originally - it was just a hypothetical with two ex-Kings still in the running right now. I guess I figured it would be a given....

Pistons won't beat the Bulls so it won't matter. It is going to be Chicago and Phoenix in the Finals. Oh and if it was Detroit and Goldent State I would go for Detroit because even though Barnes is a local guy he was in the same highschool class as me and I went to El Camino and he went to Del Campo, we were rival schools and I still remember him dunking time and time again on us and kicking our butss! =( lol

Anybody who says the know for sure who will win a Pistons/Bulls series has no idea what they're talking about...

Yep. I actually thought the Mavs were the biggest obstacle to the Pistons chances for winning it all because the Pistons don't really match up that well with the Mavs, but the Pistons have much work to do in this second round to advance. The Bulls really played well in that 1st round, and played well vs. the Pistons during this regular season. If the Pistons assume that the path to a title has just gotten a little easier with the Mavs early demise, then they may soon join the Mavs fishing expedition.

Well in that case the Warriors might as well just forfeit so they don't delay the inevitable.

I would root for Barnes and the Warriors.

I wonder what the odds are that The Warriors will win the Western Conference title?

Probably about the same odds that Steve Nash will have a stroke within the next five days.
