His value to us now is leadership and mentoring the younger players, not in three years. Remove him from this team and you lose grit, toughness, and a team player, which is what a young team needs to see.

That assumes that he is a leader. And that he mentors the young guys. And that if he does mentor, it actually does some good. I haven't read or heard anything to support that. I will grant you though, he is gritty, and he's a team player (you can see that on the floor), but that's offset by him taking playing time away from the young 3s, and by being a depreciating asset. At some point in time, the Kings should cut the cord with Noc. I'd like it to be around mid-year.
