I say we give Jim Gray the axe and shill out some bucks for C-Webb to conduct courtside interviews. Freakin' hilarious. If you missed it, you can see the good stuff here:

In other happenings surrounding the Kings SL, Minnesota went and started up Boogie. He will be the ghost that haunts that franchise forever. They tried to get into his head, but it turns out that he's invincible to head games, and they only make him angry. I have seen what I needed to see to convince me (because I am very slow), and I believe that the dude is gonna be great. He even shoots game winners!
==================================================================

Cousins: Making it look so easy.

Greene: Showing some consistency.

Casspi: A better showing than against the Lakers.

Whiteside: Changing games, but not the #'s on the stat sheet (that's still good).

Thompson: Get better, I can see that you're good son.
==================================================================

The Raptors are undefeated as well. Sonny Weems, Ed Davis and DeMar DeRozan are playin some solid ball. It looks like we'll also get to see Solomon Alabi and Dorsey suit up against DMC and Whiteside. This should be a fun one (I guarantee nothing!). Seriously, buckle up to your couch, both teams have had a day to rest, and they can play fast!

GO KINGS!!!

I agree, this will probably shape up to be a very entertaining up and down game. If it's not, eh... so shoot me.

lol, awesome.

I'm sorry but David Kahn is easily one of the biggest *ussies in all of sports.
I will never understand how a whiny little turd like that ever got a job gm'in an NBA team.

Dorsey vs. Cousins will be another tough (but fun) match up. This will be a big game for the perimeter players, as they will have to guard Weems and DeRozan. Unfortunately Ryan Thompson is injured so he might be done with SL, and I won't get to see if he can defend these guys. But, this is Christmas' and Landesberg's opportunity to step up. (I of course will be pulling for Christmas.) Christmas showed on Wednesday against Wayne Ellington that he can play a little defense (at least better than Casspi), and I want to see if it continues. He's already shown us his speed. Now if he can defend DeRozan or Weems well, I think he can be that defense-sharpshooting player I heard someone say Petrie loved.

I almost have to feel bad for Kahn, it's as if he doesn't watch any real NBA. I don't bag on Kahn because I think I would be a better GM than him (I know I wouldn't act as dimwitted for sure), but man, this is his freaking job and he is expected to be one of the best and yet he seems like a fantasy GM not caring too much about positions or how the real NBA works. This dude needs to be fired ASAP if Minny wants to ever become a great team.

Yah I agree.. It's like he got the job because someone lost a bet or something.. He just doesn't know how to gauge talent, and how to put the pieces together.. Plus he doesn't seem all that smart.

Ha, the best part is when c webb says "good luck"!!!! Who in the world does this t-wolves guy think he is??????

They hire these guys to try to talk about culture. It's not the culture dummy. It's lack of talent. Can't believe Pritchard got fired and this guy has a job. Luke and Darko are their future. Good luck!

I'd like to see us get Whiteside more involved on offense. If he can bank some shots in then we got a seriously dangerous team. I want to see a shooting guard really light it up from outside. Thompson flashed in one game. Landesburg in another and Christmas in another. No freaking consistency there.

It's gonna be a wild game these summer league raptors are running teams outta gyms, I really hope this young wings can stop Weems from dunking all over us. Actually scratch that I want him to challenge Whiteside, he's gonna send one back to the stands on him:)

LOL, good one!

You guys need to check out the Minny forum... it will make you very proud to be a Kings fan. There is a guy on that forum who goes as far as to say that he really likes what Kahn is doing with this team, how he is stocking up moveable talent for the future. WTF?

Cousins had a message for Minnesota's summer league coach Reggie Theus at halftime.

"He was like 'We got into his head,'" Cousins said. "I was like thank you coach, I'm going to kill you this half. And after the game I was like told you I was going to kill you this half. That's all that was."

People try to make this nasty streak out as something bad, but that's mostly because they are a bunch of pathetic weenies. This is a thing of beauty. And if you don't think so Boogie will take your pocket protectored scrawny 90lb weakling *** and stuff you through the hoop. :p

You always did like a guy who is not afraid to roll someone up like a donut and roll them down a hill, and them kick them at the bottom of that hill, didn't ya? ;)

I don't blame Brick for feeling that way, we wanted a intimidator and we finally got him (we might have a couple actually). I have to admit it is really interesting reading this Minny board, they are just so convinced that Tyreke alienates and makes the kings roster disgruntled (and that he can't play a lick of D or play PG) and that Boogie will never be a better pick then Johnson and will get eaten alive once he faces real NBA competition. (the same guy that thinks Kahn is a godsend also thinks Darko will school DMC). This just begs the question of, what exactly is in the water in Minnesota?

well they're Minnesota fans, what do you expect? they're going to support their team...whether for good or bad.

You know, some sportswriter (idiot with a pen) wrote a few months ago that Tyreke was uncaochable and his teammates hated him. I was like WTF? More and more, I really think the rumors about Boogie were just more media BS.

But even we as Kings fans weren't so steadfastly blind to our team's shortcomings (i.e. delusional)

Yah I feel the same, ElRay I know they are going to support their team no matter what (check out the board though, they call eachother detractors lol) but I just don't see how justifying a bad decision like passing on Cousins by saying "look he is getting
In altercations in SL!" is a bit of a stretch, and Tyreke was the one getting on teamamates, and he can play d.

I do think it's interesting that around draft time I saw at least two and I want to say three references to Cousins and Tyreke being nightmares for opposing teams as well a their own teammates and coaches. My perception was always that Evans was a humble kid who just wanted to work hard to be a better player. That's what I always heard from local media sources. But the inference has been made more than once by national "media" sources that Evans is uncoachable and hard to play with.

I have no idea what the truth of the matter is.

Well, they should support the team by running Kahns out of town. Its really unbelievable how many Wolves fans are still supporting this guy. They claim that he has a plan and that they are willing to wait a few years for it to work out. The problem is that all of his trades are negatively affecting the future of their franchise and they are absolutely garbage at drafting prospects.

I'm seriously sorry for that team. They've gone through more losing than us over the past few years and all they have to show for it is a couple of starting quality players and a few prospects. The Kings have 2 possible superstars and several future starting talents.

On top of all that they don't have any type of identity... Kahn claims he wants to recreate the 2000's Kings with a run n' gun passing style offense. Thats fine and dandy but you need more than 3 players who can pass the ball. Not only that but they have to be able to defend as well. You can make predictions and claim your team is going to play a certain style all you want but unless you have the right pieces none of that matters. Thats why Spencer Hawes was traded... not because we lost hope in his ability to become good, but because no amount of skill could turn him into a tough player if he wasn't already one.

Amen to this, with your permission I think this should be my new sig.:D

Zach Harper is the Kings' blogger for the ESPN TrueHoop network, and he said that he believes that Kevin Martin's agent was not happy with how K-Mart was essentially pushed out of the organization by Tyreke's play last season, and went on a behind the scenes smear campaign to influence the media's conversation regarding Tyreke. That's apparently where the stories about him being uncoachable come from.
