Hall of Famer
Shame the Kings couldn’t get the ball to Huerter in the final few minutes. Don’t know if they did a good job defending him or they just stopped getting him the ball

Might be seeing Kessler leap-frog TD in the rotation here in the next few games. Played some really excellent defense and gives the Kings some actual size on the wing. Valiant effort on Ant, got smoked on that one lay-up and defended that back-breaker about as well as you can hope.

Yeah a step back 3 wasn’t the best shot. The Kings continue their streak of losing to teams on the 2nd night of a back to back.

anyone know the last one they won?

Also Huerter is the hot hand and had at least temporarily got free on that scramble. I'm sure he'd have been closed out, but Barnes was maybe the third best option there, and that is probably being generous.
Good grief, man. The dude was 3-4 from 3 at that point. "Maybe the third best option"?

That's game.....close but no cigar...... poor to lose at home,,,,Kings did not take advantage of their 3rd quarter run to start the 4th, and couldn't break through. Gotta get Murray better involved and the missed FTs had the opposite affect tonight.

I don't understand why they need to foul...make them miss and hopefully win it with a 3 with 4 or 5 secs left...that would be the best opportunity to win. Also, why not hack Golbert at the end there? Do they not allow hack anymore? I don't get it. If we make smart decision, it could have turn our favor.

Good try.

We didnt have our A-Game tonight(though Huerter certainly did) and still made a team shooting 50% from 3 on a lot of attempts execute and sweat it out til the very end.

Kessler Edwards in crunchtime eh? Good to see.

I'm sure much of the focus will be on things we didnt do, but the Timberwolves played pretty damn good, McDaniels and Anderson especially. Also their bench deserves credit, Lyles got hot during the 2nd half for us but overall their Bench won the battle which may have decided a very close game.

Maybe not the thread for it, but did you have a scouting report on Kessler? Were you high on him in the draft process? I know a lot of the NBA draft twitter nerds liked his skill-set/upside

The counter-thinking is, if the other team rebounds the ball off a miss, the game is over....I agreed with the earlier foul, Time is a big premium then. Fox missed the needed 3 to keep it alive. Maybe Lyles would've been good to have out there actually.
