Ya, but if we trade KK for Smart & Crowder then Boston clears enough salary and we have two more assets.
Doubt Boston does that BTW.
We are not gonna trade KK in the foreseeable future.

Liked hearing from the vets today at the presser. George Hill's statement about minutes was pretty crazy. If that is really how he feels about his playing time and mentoring a rookie he is the perfect guy to be here.
What did he say?I think it's how he really feels and exactly why Vlade brought him here.![]()
Essentially that he doesn't care about minutes or numbers, but doing the right thing to win. What did he say?

ImpressiveYou can't approach the season thinking about fighting for minutes. You have approach it with the attitude of how can I help my team win. If that means playing Fox 40 minutes while he only gets 8,that is fine if it helps the team.

Melo not wanted here. Just sayin. Not advocating anything, just asking: Cap-wise, are the Kings in a position to be part of the proposed 4-team Melo deal?

Damn.. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Lakers on a 1 year $18MM rental..
I have a bad feeling about that.. Seems like Detroit made a terrible move and the Lakers stepped right in.
Lets hope Buddy's that dude.

I really thought Ben was going to end up better than KCP. Ben was surprisingly solid this season from a numbers perspective. 8pts 2rebs on 43% FG and 38.2% 3pt. KCP had poor splits at 39.9% FG and 35% 3pt. I still hope Ben can get his stuff together in Memphis. Although Memphis fans have been convinced by Kings fans that he's not a basketball player. They're buffing up some weird rivalry between 2 Jayhawks in Ben and Selden Jr. Even with that being said, I don't know how you could complain about Ben on a 2 year $10million deal. I don't think anyone here would care about that contract if we didn't have our longjam at SG.My first reaction was KCP was a good signing for Lakers. I recalled him lighting up the Kings last year then I noticed he had a 52% TS which is tick better than his career TS % of 51%. Bad! For context Ben McLemore is 53% TS for his career and 54% TS last year. To his credit KCP has better than 2:1 assist to turnover (3.9 to 1.7) while Ben can't scratch a 1:1. KCP is the better defender but given his scoring inefficiency he was never going to land a max contract and the Pistons and Nets were right to balk at his demands. The Pistons ended up with the better guard in Avery Bradley so I don't it as a terrible move at all.

I actually think KCP next to Lonzo will benefit himself a lot. He just needs to heavily bet on his 3pt shot improving.
