I do not honestly believe she wrote that song anyway... so you not liking her solely for writing a song she didn't really write is ironic... don't ya' think?
This made me chuckle. Thank you.

But you hate everything! Not surprisingly, I love the Wanda Jackson pick.
But you hate everything!
Indeed, if she doesn't hate something I've picked I go give it another look see just to make sure I haven't made a mistake.
Just a little negative Nancy that one...

Bryan Adams
This guy isn't in my top 5 artists of all time, but he has enough songs that I really like to justify taking him here. I'm not going to deny that his voice can be slightly grating in some of his songs, but when he gets it right, he gets it very right! He has some songs that are nostalgic and heart warming, and that mean a lot to me. I suspect they do to him too. It's a shock to me that he's still available given his global popularity. Maybe people have forgotten all about him?
With this pick I draft, Megadeth.
Never got a PM... Jus' sayin'!
I was quite torn on who to pick on this one, I've been drafting quite off the top of my head but I had set what my bottom four would be on day one. In the end I decided to go for variety and since I've got no saxophones on in my island, I pick:
Morphine (1990-1999)
Oh no, not forgotten about, and I'm pretty sure he was the guy Alexander was hint hint hudge nudging about last round. I even went back and took a look through his stuff again having once been a fan. It was between he and Mellencamp for me for that niche (intially it was between them and Seger, until Seger got taken), but just too much stuff seemed to be pushing the cheese limit for me after 25 years despite my love for Summer of '69).
Nope my guy is still not taken. He has more talent on his pinkie than Bryan ever had.(maybe that's a bit harsh; I am just suck of hearing his crap)
With this pick I draft, Loreena McKennitt.
She's quite possibly my favorite vocalist. I've been a big fan every since "Mummer's Dance" was a minor hit in the late 90s.
Her angelic voice is the main attraction but she's also quite a good producer and arranger/composer. She plays the harp, piano, and accordion, as well.
Her blend of Celtic, renaissance, and world music makes great mood music. Great for turning up and just relaxing to when I want something different from the rock, metal, pop, etc. I usually listen to.
Ha, Spike's gonna love that one. I was probably gonna take them, but not until round 18 or so. This is my favorite: [yt="Symphony of Destruction]QtPQ_QJpFIU[/yt]

Hmm I'm Canadian, I should know this. I figured you were talking about Neil Young.
Time to fill the singer/songwriter hole. With at least five legendary songwriters that I thought would be long gone by now,I pick:
Lou Reed
