The Clippers have four PG's and no backup big men. JT, as a cheap backup fits so well that we could arguably ask for more than just Bledsoe.
Bledose on the Kings is a pure PG prospect albeit one who is about as raw as they come. He shot poorly from 3 last year, but was a pretty good shooter at Kentucky. Physically he is a monster, with a long wingspan, huge hops and a big build. Even if his shot never develops I expect he will be a dynamite defensive player. Maybe overall projecting as a Kyle Lowry type player but with a higher upside because of physical ability and a better jumper. It just might take a while to get there (as it did with Lowry).
The Kings will have control over Lowry for longer, and he might fit a specific need in the backcourt long term that we do not have. Plus maybe he and Cousins are buddies? I believe he has a strong attitude and was considered a leader on that Kentucky team.
This would make more sense if we re-signed Dalembert. If they let him go it might be better to keep JT as a backup big.
