This thread needs more Ryan Thompson love.

I was very impressed with Thompson. He generally didn't force too much, play defense, and most importantly, played within himself. I can definitely see him as a solid role player ala Mario Ellie (I don't think I'm the first person who has said this)

Why do you think it's goaltending? It has to be on way down. He always takes on top of arc.

Yeah I can never tell when it's at the top of the arc whether it's going down or not. I guess I'm excited about the refs giving him the benefit of the doubt like they do with Lebron, but at the same time I felt bad for the Pistons.

I'm more excited than ever before especially with Whiteside. For the last decade, it was hard to watch Kings constantly get outmuscled and outjumped inside. Now we finally have a bunch of flying trees. Yeahhhh boyyyyy!

I don't think you can fairly blame any GM's (with the exception of Kahn) for passing on Cousins. Wall, Turner, and Favors all made sense where they went, and you can't just ignore that Cousins' red flags were something that made him risky whether you can think they were overblown or not. One thing is for sure, we got incredibly lucky to get a big man prospect of his caliber at the 5th pick, that doesn't happen very often.
I fully agree with your post.

My mistake. I got the names mixed-up. I meant Whiteside on that paragraph.

That last sentence should read "I wonder what those GMs who passed on Whiteside are thinking now."

Wow I'm impressed with the two big men I expected one of them to come out looking like Daniel Orton did last week, glad I was wrong. I'm not gonna go overboard with praise as it is summer league and what not, but watching DMC last night had me grinning from ear to ear:)

Now there is alot I see already that could be a problem, he pouted after every foul call it looked real Kendrick Perkins esque. He also clearly wants to be a guard with all his crossover attempts, but he has great foot speed. I was pleasantly surprised by his face up game, I really didn't know he had touch. Anytime I watched Kentucky he was just dunking and running the floor, speaking of dunking that power dunk in the 2nd Q was beautiful! I can't get over how excited I am to watch this kid blossom and I was pleasantly surprised by all of the stuff in his game.

Now this Whiteside I heard he was raw, he doesn't look that raw out there on the defensive end. He scares me though he is wayy too skinny to be this active and jumpy, I see ankle injuries aplenty if he doesn't bulk up. But regardless I don't think we've had this type of shot blocking potential in years, it looks like he really legit can smell the ball going up or something it's great to watch. Like somebody said earlier he didn't look like he was destined to a NBADL roster just yet, hopefully he can get minutes because we could use his ball hawking out there for 10 mins a game. I really can't get over how different this team looks this offseason, it makes me so excited for the year knowing that even if dreaded injuries hit we have guys that will protect our rim.

everyone impressed me.
DMC & Whiteside were huge. Whiteside was KG-like on defense. DMC impressed the hell outta me.. He had some silly turnover but some REAL nice passes that reminded me of the Webber days. And it amazes me how fluid he is for being that big.

Ryan Thompson Impressed me, he was effecient and showed he had some defensive potential.

Omri & Donte both look ready to garner the 3 spot this year. Both look alot more confident on their drives. I really liked thaat little bank shot Donte was using.

Sloan reminded me of BJax a lil bit.
