As for Adams, he is apparently scheduled to come in for a workout, and I'd imagine with his athleticism/attitude/defense/personality that he'll be a hit with the coaching staff, which is fine by me. I'm very, very disappointed that Oladipo hasn't been in for a workout, but I suppose that's a discussion for another time.

The only positive with Oladipo not coming in might be that we're so committed to resigning Reke that we're not auditioning shooting guards.

Oladipo isn't coming because he'll be drafted before 7 unless something crazy happens. Standard practice by agents here .. we've brought in or are bringing in just about every prospect outside of the top 6 (Noel, McLemore, Porter, Len, Bennett, Oladipo) which makes total sense since we sit at #7.

A summery of all the mock drafts has him listed at #13 which is why I find it odd that so few people know of him. Perhaps it is because Pitt isn't on national TV. I don't know as I don't watch college basketball. He is a raw talent waiting for a competent coach.No, I wouldn't trade down. I'm with you Glenn. I mentioned in the other Adams thread that he is damn near identical in his predraft size and athletic ability measurements to Drummond which this board has been complaining about passing on for a year. He also passes my untrained eyeball test. Draft Express has him at #10 so he should almost for sure be there at 7. I would love to actually solve some problems with a draft pick instead of creating more. We'll see how the visit goes. Glad he is scheduled.

An article named "NBA Draft 2013: Projected Lottery Picks with Highest Bust Potential" was released today on Bleacher Report and they have Adams as a high bust potential. He's definitely got an NBA body and size, interesting article nonetheless.

It has to be someone from this forum as it seems no one is interested in anyone taller than 6'5". I don't understand that criticism of Adams at all. Yes, he doesn't appear to know what he is doing but he has never been taught what to do.

You forgot this part of the quote: "Adams is a hard-working, athletic seven-footer with tremendous upside because of the aforementioned qualities." In other words there is a high risk and high reward to the team that drafts him. I can't disagree with that but I think the quote was misleading and the article seemed to take a shot at big men in general.

I saw him play plenty, and his first game of the year was against Kentucky. He flat out dominated in that game. Len had the misfortune to play on a team, Maryland, that was dominated by very selfish guards that seldom passed him the ball. Make no mistake, he's still raw in many areas, but he's definitely starting center material in the NBA.
Could you start him next to Cousins? I doubt it! Someone would have to guard the PF position, and I don't think it benefits either of them to put them in that position. But Len would be excellent insurance to have in the event something goes wrong with Cousins. At worse, he would be good trade material down the road. Starting centers are hard to come by.
I don't think the defense would be worse than Memphis' Randolph-Gasol lineup.
My rotation would look like:
Starters @C: Len, @PF: Cousins -> 1st Sub @C: Cousins, @PF: PPat -> 2nd Sub @C: Len @PF: PPat -> Back to Starters
I secretly prefer a big 7' barefoot player next to Cousins.

Seeing as how we probably won't be stopping anyone from getting to the basket maybe it's now time to get us a shot blocker at the 4. Brandan Wright is mobile, blocks shots and is available.

Why get a shot blocker when you can get Carl Landry?! 
The new signing makes JT and PPat completely redundant because that guy next to Cousins now absolutely has to be a shot blocker and he absolutely has to be able to play both PF and C defensively! Just narrowed the candidate pool considerably!

i hope PDA has something lined up as that's the only way this can make sense. We now have too many guards (still) and too many bigs of average skill level. We had sooo much cap space to pull off something big and so far haven't. There better be some move that cleans up this mess.

he looked really good last year in limited minutes but i was impressed with him he averaged 1.4 blks in 18 min and just as many rebounds as Carl landry. Except landry got 10 more min a game
