STRENGTHS
Collin Gillespie, PG, 6'3 195
''Gillespie will enter the 2022 NBA Draft as one of the more accomplished college players in the game. He already has three Big East Championships and a National Championship and will look to bring that success to the NBA level as well. At 6-foot-3, he is intelligent on and off the ball and is a reliable scorer at multiple levels. He's also disciplined and instinctual on defense, providing real value on both ends of the floor. Gillespie has the tools to be a backup point guard at the next level, so it will be interesting to track if an organiziation gives him that opportunity. '' (Basketballnews.com)
FA- Otto Porter Jr.
Re-sign- Donte DiVincenzo
Trade: Len for a 2nd round pick
Team:
PG: Fox, Mitchell, Gillespie
SG: Mathurin, DDV, Davis
SF: Barnes, Porter Jr., Champagnie, Holiday, Harkless
PF: Lyles, Metu
C: Sabonis, Holmes
Two Way option: Queta
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this scenario, I wanted to pair Fox with a potentially elite shooter, with high athletic traits to run with him in transition, and open up the half court for Fox and Sabonis with his deadly shooting. As discussed in other threads, Mathurin's floor is at least a spot up shooter, with an upside that is intriguing with proper development hopefully with a competent staff. Otto Porter hopefully buys in with Mike Brown, and comes here also providing floor spacing with solid shooting, defensive switch ability, and veteran leadership. We get a development Wing in Champagnie that can spot shoot, move well off ball, and play solid defense. In fact, we would have so much versatility within this roster, with so many different combinations to use depending on the match-up.

- 43.8 guard 46.2% unguarded

- Not efficient in transition despite great physical tools

- Can be passive and a non factor in games
Julian Champagnie, SF, 6'8 215
