I was just thinking about a possible trade scenario with Boston for Rondo (contingent on his knee checking out fine). It would require that we win the lottery, however, which makes this difficult. Though I like Tyreke and I think it is essential we need someone to penetrate defenses during the playoffs, we could possible sign and trade Tyreke for Rondo (fillers to make it work as well) and draft Oladipo to fill the 2 guard slot. I happen to like the kid a lot and I think he can be a good player starting off right away, and even better down the road. We would finally get a real PG, the two spot would be filled, and would have to bring in a shooting SF either through free agency or another trade. Any thoughts on this? Perhaps we could switch Tyreke back to PG and trade Thornton instead if we get lucky and draft Oladipo as another option?

The other scenario would be just drafting Porter and thereby filling the 3 spot, and deal with the PG issue through other manners and focusing on the PF slot as well.

Tyreke for Rondo is not happening - despite multiple reports of trying to trade Rondo, wonder why the pop up ;), Ainge still like him. If Pierce and KG leave, it would be fun to look at Rondo's next season. Problem child might just become too problematic.

With sign and trades, the team doing the signing and then trading of the player gets about 40 cents of the dollar value. In other words, the team losing the player get sweet **** all for the player.

is there any chance we can get Michael Kidd-Gilchrist?? the bobcats are in a bad way and maybe a selection of our players would help them??

i have literally no idea about trades so please dont laugh at me ;) just i know that he was the player we needed last draft..

Talks would start with Cuz and likely end with Reke and the pick.

Here's a thought - How would people feel about trading down, and getting Glen Rice Jr.?

Super talented at the position we need, and he's worked through those 'personality issues' that people seem so concerned about DMC having, and be a good influence on him.

I personally love GRjr, I think he fits in well with today's NBA game. I think he is going to be drafted a lot higher than people think. Kings could trade with Utah who has two first rounders.

I'm also a fan of McCollum, especially paired with Reke, and he may slip in the 10-15 range.

Rice Jr. looked great as a PF in NBADL: scored with ease, rebounded and played very good team defense. Unfortunately he will have to switch to swingman, and given that NBADL PFs run around him don't see him other than a huge defensive liability against any SF with at least some sort of handle.
