Ans teams that draft on need will keep drafting in the lotto.

Well, that depends on how a team rates the prospects.

If one prospect clearly is rated higher, then you absolutely take that player at BPA at your draft slot.

But, if they rate the 2 BPA at your draft slot as equal and they already have their PG and PF of the future on their team, then they absolutely take the prospect that fits their team better.

I say if MPJ falls to us at 7 or 8 we take him. He has a very high ceiling and the kings need and all-star caliber player.

Ya we take him at 7 or 8

But I’m putting him at PF not SF

While I don't advocate taking need over talent in the draft, if Giles is anything as good as advertised, coupled with MPJ's injury history, our need at 3, and the likely availability of Bridges, I would be hard pressed to pick MPJ to play the 4.

If you look at Chicago's roster, I think they are happy with their PG Kris Dunn and backup Cameron Payne. It's reasonable to assume they are looking at wing or possibly center, which are the same positions we are in need of an upgrade. They are pretty much set at PG (Dunn) and PF (Markarren).

I'd tend to agree that Chicago potentially have Dunn, Lavine and Markkanen pencilled into their starting line up for next season. Obviously they need to extend Lavine or do a sign and trade, but it stands to reason that they are looking for a wing or center. However, Kris Dunn is sort of a combo guard and could slot into the SG spot if they felt strongly about Trae Young or Colin Sexton. Likewise they might fall in love with Bagley and work out how they are going to play him and Markkanen together later on.

For me, the Bulls are one of those teams that really do need to take the best player available. If that fills a need that's great news. But if it creates a decision to be made (e.g. they draft Young or Bagley) then that's a good position for them to be in because they'll have young valuable assets on their roster and good depth.

I’m not sure between WCS, Skal and JJ it’s clear where the Kings biggest area of need is. If MPJ can swing between 3 and 4 that’s a plus.

I just think Porters best position will be at PF he’s not nimble enough to guard SFs. For example I think Jabari Parker is a better athlete than him and he’s a 4. It’s not like we have a 4 on the roster that would prevent us from doin this and this spaces the floor even more.
