PJW feels like the perfect acquisition to me, but I'd wait until the offseason. Let the Mavs flame out in the playoffs and feel even more "win now" pressure. Then trade them Demar for PJ and Max Christie. That let's you see what you have for the rest of this season, avoid killing the good vibes by making any more massive trades in season, and regroup in the offseason. If you can trade for Jonas now, you could end up with the following to open next season:

Washington | Lyles (resigned)
Keegan | Christie
Lavine | Ellis
Monk | Carter

No because AD signed a 35% max 10+ year vet extension that kicks in this summer which is identical to the 35% designated veteran (super max) contract Luka would have signed.

If I were the Mavs GM of my fantasy football league, I'd be on the phone with our commissioner within the first 5 minutes of this trade being accepted, defending my incompetence.
