I don't think so, since Ainge has been talking him up if Celtics fall out of the top 3. I think he end up in Boston. This betters our chances for Jianlian IMO.

Not neccessarily. Atlanta might trade down to get Conley.

Yeah Boo-hoo for them and their...
16 CHAMPIONSHIPS.
I was thinking along the same lines. One of those team, likely Atlanta would be willing to rade down to get what they need but the problem here is that they have pick 11 from Indy which kind of puts us out of negotiations. Who will be there at 10 that will be worth trading down from 3 to get.So...given that this is the personnel section, some interesting positioning there:
You have a center going #1, a SF going #2, and then a whole pack of PFs coming up next.
BUT:
1) the Hawks already have Marcus Wiliams as their young stud PF. Wright, Horford, Jianlian etc. would be projected at their #3. What they need is a PG or a C, or both. Any chance they trade that pick to move down and go after Hibbert or Conley?
2) The Memphis Grizzlies were dreaming of a Gasol/Oden frontcourt, or worst case a Gasol/Durant forward combo. Now they are right in the middle of PF alley with their best/only player being a PF. I don't think they want to have to run him at C forever. Any chance they make a move here?
3) Boston, of course devastating for them, and again, the one good thing they have going for them is the emerging Al Jefferson at PF to go with Pierce at SF. And yet they don't get Oden to play C, and are int he middle of PF land. Do they go with Brewer? Or could they too be ready to make a move now?
Been a long long drought over there. 1/4 of their fanbase may not even have been born/was too young to remember their last one.
Ya.....
Nah...

That would imply that we are trading down a pick to 11 for that sweetner! Not interested. We should be talking with these teams if moving to pick 3, 4 or 5 and we sweeten it for them. Not really sure what we could offer thoughNot necesarrily. They could send us some sort of sweetner to ensure Conley is still there at 11...

Maybe Petrie, FOR ONCE IN HIS CAREER, decides to trade up???! But does he have the ammo?
You could approach Atlanta with an offer of Mike Bibby and the #10 in order to get that #3. Making the matching package attractive enough to us would be the key. But if Atlanta then used #10 to land Hibbert, they would have patched both their holes. They could also use #10 and #11 to land both Hbbert and Conley, or Hawes, or some such.
Similar idea mgiht be remotely possible in Memphis, who also needs a PG/C.

I don't think Atlanta does that unless we take a bad contract from them but to get a top 3, you would have to strongly stongly consider it IMHO.You could approach Atlanta with an offer of Mike Bibby and the #10 in order to get that #3. Boy ESPN must be throwing a hissy fit. The two best players are going to small-market northwestern teams.
A sad day for the worldwide leader in sports.
Not sure why ATL would trade for Bibby AND draft Conley.
