[NBA] Comments that don't warrant their own thread MAR

I sent George Karl an email telling him to get better. I'm not much of a fan letter kinda guy at least until there are health concerns. I wrote to Brian Grant also when he came forward with his health concerns. Why am I telling you this? Karl's a worthy adversary and I want to see him stick around.

And this comment stood out, because........it was written by someone who doesn't know what he is talking about?????

It stood out because I love people who don’t watch other teams/players play and they still make comments. It’s like me commenting on Brandon Jennings when I haven’t watched half/most of his games….just a funny comment.

Ok, gotcha now. We're on the same page. :)

wtf it's like the warriors score 120+ points in every game the past few weeks, the only problem is they can't stop anybody at the other end but still impressive they can put up that many with a bunch of d-leagers

damn Salmons has been playing like a beast recently and the Milwakee Sucks are like 15-2 after his trade.

yeah too bad they allow like 140 in every game too

T-Mac to Face Rockets for First Time Since Trade

"I'm not trying to go out and score 30 or 40. That's not what I'm about right now," McGrady said. "I'm moving well on the basketball court and doing some things I've done in the past. I'm not worried about my numbers right now."

McGrady won't sugarcoat his feelings that the Rockets did him wrong, were dishonest and didn't treat him with the dignity afforded a perennial All-Star with five years of Rockets service.

"I felt, for what I did, I felt I was mistreated," McGrady said. "I moved on from that. But I felt I deserved better."

When he had microfracture surgery last February, the Rockets pretended he did it on his own.

"I kind of got thrown under the bus," McGrady said. "Not having the franchise protect me from things said in the media, nobody came out and told the truth. Like when I had my surgery, I notified the team. But in the media, they said I didn't say anything to the team."

When McGrady made it back in December, Adelman limited him to seven minutes per game. McGrady felt lied to.

"What was confusing about it was why it didn't increase when I was told it would increase," McGrady said of his playing time.

"Once it didn't increase, nobody really told me why. It was time for them to make a move, time for me to make a move. I would have liked for it to go more smoothly. It's a bittersweet moment."

Very cool :D

Something fishy going down in Nets land. Playing so bad for the whole year they threathened breaking the record for worst season of all time. But now they are capable of putting wins together when it really became evident that they may indeed break the record? They've had the talent to win more games. Something tells me a tank had been constructed from the get go.

By who exactly? The coach who got fired? Or the players who have been mutinying left and right and have trashed their own careers? That's always the trick wiht a tank -- you need people secure in their positions and assured of their future with the franchise before anybody would do it. Doc Rivers could, because Ainge had his back. Paul Pierce could take his time etting bakc, because he was the franchise guy and knew the score. But New Jersey...they canned their coach, have characters like Douglas-roberts runnign around threatening hos own franchise, that if you don't play me I'm going to make sure LeBron doesn't sign here...its just been chaos. Hard to see a disinterested tanker in the bunch. But I do think they got desperate to aovid the record. Only thing that has brought them together all year (also note that kiki's mother had just died the night before our game wiht them, so maybe a rally around the coach thing).

The world is ending in LaLa land...

... and I love it.

They just got beat by 17 by the Hawks, after losing to the Hornets and being held to 75 points against OKC. Three losses in four games, and it's looking more and more like they'll have a tough road to hoe to a) win the West, and b) beat the Cavs in the Finals.

David Lee goes for 37pts 20rebs and 10ast last night, and can barely get a mention even in the game highlights. First time anybody has gone 30-20-10 in 34 years too.

Of course it was against the Warriors, in a loss no less, so any and all numbers have to be asterisked.
