PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla needs surgery again on his right patella tendon after he slipped in the shower at his home, according to a report on the Blazers' Web site. Przybilla re-ruptured his tendon Saturday morning while at his home in Milwaukee, Wis., the report said. He's expected to undergo surgery this week.

Przybilla's original injury occurred Dec. 22 in a game against the Dallas Mavericks and he underwent season-ending surgery later that week. He averaged 4.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 30 games prior to being hurt. It's not known when he will be back on the court for the Blazers.

In addition to Przybilla, center Greg Oden also suffered what is believed to be a season-ending injury earlier this season. The injuries led the team to trade Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw for center Marcus Camby just prior to the league's trade deadline.

Camby has suffered a pair of minor ankle injuries during his stint with the Blazers so far. He is questionable for Portland's Sunday night game with the Denver Nuggets.

In terms of ways to injure yourself, slipping in the shower is not among the more graceful options.

The Blazers seem to have take our place as starcrossed contenders.

Same game, another note:

Not sure if Nellie is just trying to stuff the ROY ballot boxes or if he has finally fallen completely off his rocker, but he just got done playing Stephen Curry all 48 minutes of a game, for the second night in a row -- both nights of a back to back. And its the 7th time Curry has played all 48 this season.

How long until Curry suffers a fatigue-related major injury?

He's right about playing for something bigger, which is something neither Tyreke or Stephen are doing but at the same time Brandon is forever throwing shade on other people in the spotlight. He did the same thing when Tyreke won MVP at the Rookie-Sophmore game. Could it be that he thinks he should get more consideration because the Bucks are in playoff race?

I don't think that there's any contest between Evans and Curry for Rookie of the year, but I'll admit to being biased. But, I'll tell you one thing, and I'll go to the bank with this: you'll never see Evans get backed down on consecutive plays by another point guard, the way that Andre Miller just did with Curry.

Why are players wanting number 6. Arenas and lebron filed to change to number 6.
They want to retire #23 league wide and so have changed to 6 to honor Jordan's 6 championships.

And just to keep things amusing #6 coincidentally happens to be the number of the guy with 11 rings.

wtf moment of entire season for Nba

Corey Magette playing center for GSW against portland

I think the NBA needs to add another award to their list. I think they need a ‘WTF’ moment of the year award. That be classic.

I wonder if he will ever mature...but on a funnier note, this was funny/smart.

They should change their number to eleven, then.

Jordan is unquestionably the game's biggest star and, arguably, the best player ever, but he may only be the seventh or eighth most important player in terms of significance to the history of the NBA.

I changed my mind, wtf moment of the season was probably brandon jennings..

just brandon jennings

Les Bullets have become the first team since the lockout to play three straight. Not surprisingly, they lost all three...

Steph Curry trying to prevent another 48 minute night picks up three fouls and his team goes up against the Lakers. Hope the Ws tire the Kobes out

So I was reading this article "Clippers Star Thinks Bucks' Jennings Should be Rookie of the Year" http://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/88022322.html and I got down to the comments and I found 1 comment that stood out.

The comment is by GregJennings85

1.) Evans is a known ball-hog. He has been a black hole for the rock on a Sacramento team that should be working on team basketball, not lack of ball movement. Jennings has been consistent as of late, making all the extra passes needed, and has even been scoring some clutch buckets.

2.) Evans' team is garbage, and he's their quarterback. Did Matthew Stafford win the rookie of the year in the NFL?

3.) Besides being enormous for the position, Evans has a good handle. other than that, he is nothing spectacular.

4.) Jennings' numbers have been down as of late, but the team is winning. W's are much more important than personal accolades, and Jennings knows that.

5.) Evans is just the man on an awful team. The Kings are 3-10 in their own division. This shows me that: a.) Their division is good, and b.) teams that see Evans regularly have figured out how to beat his team.

6.) Around the NBA, Evans is earning the label of a me-first, headcase. Other than Jennings' original gaffe of unknowingly being recorded by a DJ, has been a model pro.

And this comment stood out, because........it was written by someone who doesn't know what he is talking about?????

Eminently. Though to be fair to this guy, there were a few other posters later down in the thread who tried to out-dumb him.

A lot of circular logic and twisting of the facts to make the case.

The case for Tyreke is being made without would'ves, could'ves and should'ves. It's an individual award and he is putting up the best individual numbers of any ROY and doing it with such consistency that it actually seems less impressive than it should.

1)As far as I know, ball hogs don't nearly average a triple double in a week. Jennings has been consistently bad.

2)This is an awful comparison because honestly Stafford sucked for most of the time he payed last season. Meanwhile, Reke is putting up the best rookie season since Lebron.

3)To say that he has good handles is like saying that Tiger Woods kind of cheated on his wife. Reke has a penchant for cutting through an opposing defense second only to Lebron and D-Wade.

4)W's are important but that's no excuse to suck.

5)So because we're in a good division and Tyreke puts up good numbers against the other teams (see his near triple double against the Lakers), he sucks? Seems like backwards logic here.

6)Where has he earned the label of a me-first headcase? If anything, he's the polar opposite. He's a Silent Assassin. If you want to see a me first headcase, look no further than Brandon Bubblehead Jennings.
