PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla needs surgery again on his right patella tendon after he slipped in the shower at his home, according to a report on the Blazers' Web site. Przybilla re-ruptured his tendon Saturday morning while at his home in Milwaukee, Wis., the report said. He's expected to undergo surgery this week.
Przybilla's original injury occurred Dec. 22 in a game against the Dallas Mavericks and he underwent season-ending surgery later that week. He averaged 4.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 30 games prior to being hurt. It's not known when he will be back on the court for the Blazers.
In addition to Przybilla, center Greg Oden also suffered what is believed to be a season-ending injury earlier this season. The injuries led the team to trade Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw for center Marcus Camby just prior to the league's trade deadline.
Camby has suffered a pair of minor ankle injuries during his stint with the Blazers so far. He is questionable for Portland's Sunday night game with the Denver Nuggets.
