I think they could play them together occasionally just like Allen and Mobley.
Allen and Mobley works because Mobley is legitimately one of the best lateral athletes I have ever seen. Dude covers space like Giannis on defense and can take on wing players. Sengun's looked really solid as a big defender but I'm not sure he or Wood are quick enough on defense to hedge like that.

He looks like a juiced up version of young AD on defense. Which seems crazy to conceptualize, but he's already been one of the better defenders in basketball as a 20 year old rookie big which is reflected in the Cavs defensive numbers and the eye test

He looks like what Kings fans were expecting Willie Cauley-Stein to be on defense while playing like an efficient New York Porzingis on offense. In hindsight, he should have been the first overall pick.

I understood Cade over him in the draft process, but I never understood the hype of Jalen Green as a top 2 overall pick. He does look like a truly talented scorer, but scoring is also one of the easiest traits in the NBA to find and he's massively struggled in other parts of his game.. Bigs who defend the perimeter like an elite guard like Mobley and have offensive/shooting upside come around once every 10 years or so.

I wasn't suggesting a long term pairing, more like spot minutes. Eventually it will have to be one or the other and if I was Houston, it would be Sengun. Assuming they don't surprise the world and find themselves in the playoff hunt, they should look to trade Wood at his peak value at the deadline.

I still have Jalen Green down as a Bradley Beal type player. Many people knew Mobley would be good but they didn't know he would be this good right out of the gate. Especially after his less than spectacular performance during the summer. As you know, it's fairly normal for high pick big men to take some time to develop.

Either way it's further proof that franchises that can't attract free agents need top picks to have the best shot at turning the franchises around.

What is it, a 5 game win streak without him? Grizz are 9-10 with Ja and 5-0 without him. I wonder if we bring that up on a grizz forum and say they’re better without him how it will go.
If they’re anything like Kings fans, they’ve probably already concocted some inane trade idea where they dump Ja for Kemba Walker and picks or something stupid like that.

So do we think Lebron returns in 2023 to the Cavs for one final send off? Assuming they don't re-sign Sexton and with Love comes off the books, they could sign Lebron to a one or two year deal.

Allen
Mobley
Lebron
(vet looking for a chip)
Garland

Lebron's probably either staying in LA or going wherever Bronnie gets drafted/signs.

I agree, but it would be hilarious if Cleveland is in a better position for a championship than LA
We’ll see. I don’t think playing for Dan Gilbert appeals to Lebron at any level anymore now that he brought Cleveland its ring. Plus, even with their good start to the season and talented front court, they’ve still got to nail their weird guard situation (Sexton expiring but also injured for the season, Garland up for an extension but possibly looking for more than Cleveland wants to offer, Okoro being a strong defender but also sorta bad at offense, Ricky Rubio being their best two-way guard but also being a 31-year-old on an expiring contract.).

Dame to Sixers for Simmons Maxey and a pick.

CJ to Cleveland for Okoro, Kevin Love and a pick.

Nurkic and the Sixers pick to Washington for Deni Advija

Rumor has Zion tipping the scales at 320 pounds these days.

Rough man. I know everyone poked fun at him(I did too), but dude is probably going through quite a bit if he's putting on that much weight with all the tools at his disposal and it probably doesn't help that every media outlet is calling him a fatty fat kid.
