Nope! We can't re-sign Alex until July 1st, because we traded him to Washington and they waived him.

Bizarrely, if Washington had *traded* him to the Lakers rather than waive him, and then the Lakers waived him, we *could* re-sign him! But basically the rule exists to prevent teams from a nudge-nudge-wink-wink transaction where Team A doesn't *want* to give up Player X in a trade with Team B, and Team B doesn't require him for the deal, but salary cap rules require more salary in the deal. So Team A "trades" Player X to Team B, who waives him, and then he signs back with Team A.

I know Giddey’s name had been surrounded by toxicity last season….but even then at the time , I had a laugh when people thought the Bulls got hosed trading Caruso for him.

I was reading after the Lavine trade about how the Bulls didn’t get a first rounder for Deebo, Zach, and they added Caruso to that list as if he was a better player than Giddey or the 22 year old 6th overall pick wasn’t equivalent.

Giddey’s line tonight was insane

15 points, 17 assists(2 turnovers), 10 rebounds, and 8 steals.

I won’t say OKC made a bad trade since they didn’t need another ball handler like Giddey anymore but that was a unique opportunity for the Bulls to flip a firm bench player into a young player with star potential…and they got laughed at for it.

Giddy has always been a monster on sub 30-35 win teams that feature him

you talk about him like he’s a 10 year vet.

it’s his 4th season. He’s 22 and the only sub 30 win team he played for was his rookie season Thunder team. Bulls playing much better once they handed the reins to him and White.

and no, he has never done anything like what he has been doing post all star break for Chicago. Let alone always.

He was setting all sorts of records on that thunder team before they became good the guy has very good talent/skillset when allowed to run the show I would love Giddy on the Kings but im don't think the numbers are as good as his impact.

Is LeBron tough for going at a senior citizen? Where was this energy when stewert [sic] wanted to fight him oh ya he acted like an angel hiding behind security they’re all fake tough
You got it backwards: I don't have to believe that LeBron can fight to know that Stephen A. wouldn't have swung on him.

And also, Isaiah Stewart is a buffoon. I have yet to see an Isaiah Stewart highlight where that guy has a basketball in his hand. Not wanting to fight a berserker is not proof that you're "fake tough," even if he probably is. And by the way, this ain't rugby: being "fake tough" is not a negative trait for a basketball player. Like, what, you want to go back to the days of Norm Van Lier and Jerry Sloan, where they're fighting each other in the stands?
