Couldn't take the ball out of per 36 goat DMC hands, something similar occurred when drafting with the #2 pick not long ago can't be taking the ball of out the "franchise players" hands. It still blows my mind we let him walk over $500k and he proceeded to be an all-star and the best value contract in the NBA by a mile the next 4 years.
And then some times you tank, get the first overall pick, and then have his leg fall off.
I don’t remember seeing this about IT and DMC. Now I’d you said it happened cuz our GM at the time was an idiot, yeah that sounds right.Couldn't take the ball out of per 36 goat DMC hands, something similar occurred when drafting with the #2 pick not long ago can't be taking the ball of out the "franchise players" hands.

It wasn't a "IT sucks" thing but more of a "the fit between IT and Rudy and Boogie isn't working" thing. Trading IT wasn't the issue. Trading IT for a trade exception and the draft rights to Alex Oriakhi the year after dumping Tyreke for Grevius Vazquez was the problem.Wasn't just that, but to trade him for absolutely nothing when he had really good stats and metrics. It's like they pretended that his numbers meant absolutely nothing.

Right. Trading assets and being active in the trade market isn't a problem. It's the whole getting rid of good assets for nothing in return and horribly mismanaging the assets that you did still have thing that made PDA probably the worst GM in franchise history (which is saying something because Vlade had a disastrous tenure immediately him). And his following team also dumped him. Moving on from IT wasn’t the LOL KANGZ move, it was always the anti-return.

Bagley being healthier than Luka is something I didn't anticipate this season lol
Probably shouldn’t have come into camp at 260 or whatever he was. Lol
Now that we are 25+ games into the season rank your top 8 rookie's future projection (not necessarily current production). There have been some injuries to key players like Suggs and Green so that makes it difficult to project those guys.
1) Cade- I still think he brings the most to the table and think he has winning traits
2) Mobley-already a monster defensively and has plenty of room to grow on the offensive end. He has a higher ceiling than Cade but I don't know if he will grow enough to surpass Cunningham's skills
3) Barnes- You could really make a case for any of these three guys at the top and this dude looks like the total package. The size and length take him to another level. Shooting still his biggest question mark.
4) Sengun- I suppose it would be fair to call me a homer at this point but I just think he has all the markings of a star. As soon as Wood gets traded, I expect this guy to fly up the ladder.
4) Green- Still has a good chance at being the scoring champion sometime in his career. I don't know if the rest of his game will develop or at what rate.
5) Suggs- have hardly seen him but he has it all so Ill leave him in the top 5
6) Wagner- He is better than most people expected. He is big and versatile on the defensive end, has hit his threes at his projected rate and has been better creating for himself than expected
7) Giddey- Rebounding and court vision are as advertised and scores at a better clip than many projected
8) Off Night- very uneven start to his career but has shown to be a plus defender and gives us flashes on O
All and all the early draft slots have proven to be largely correct or in the general area. Still too early to be certain of course and guys like Duarte and Jalen Johnson could blow up and move up the list.
ATL hiding Johnson in the G-League when pretty much every single wing on their roster has been injured or bad is so bizarre to me. Maybe they see him as a big long term? Or maybe McMillan just doesn't like him? It's so weird. Now that we are 25+ games into the season rank your top 8 rookie's future projection (not necessarily current production). Rockets have won 8 in a row.
